IMO the fullback positions is where we lost the game. Napoli like to play the majority of the game through the middle and consequently left a lot of space for us in the wide positions, however, Zabaleta is nowhere near as good as Micah offensively and Kolarov is just awful (his crosses were shit on the rare occasion he chose to cross the ball and the rest of the time he just gave the ball back to whoever had passed it to him) so we couldn't maximise the space we had out wide.

Both fullbacks plus Yaya & Nige were a waste of space imo.

Dzeko seems to me like he has to play almost every game or he's basically no threat whatsoever apart from as a late sub.

Im seriously pissed off. On Saturday I was raving about Clichy (And was when we signed him) I think hes really underated and obviously Micah is shit hot at the moment. Clichy is so fast he bombs up and gives us options, whereas kolorov is so slow hes cautious sometimes because if they get a break we're fucked because he won't get back in time.

The problem with Kolarov isnt just his pace based on tonight.He had quite a few crossing opportunities and just got them all wrong.

Along with Dzeko he was the worst player out there tonight.

Difference is that Dzeko has impressed me at times, Kolarov has been crap his whole time at City. He's bad going forward and just as bad defending.

Really annoyed that our two best fullbacks, who have been outstanding all season, weren't playing one of our most crucial games.

Dzeko seems to me like he has to play almost every game or he's basically no threat whatsoever apart from as a late sub.

He's definitely left me scratching my head this season. Was amazing at the start of the season and deservedly won the Barclays player of the month in August as he was unplayable. Then he was rested against Wigan (I think) and hasn't really looked anywhere near that level since. An enigma

I'm glad I'm not the only person on here that thinks Kolarov is wank! How do some people actually think he should be in that team?! I'm so pisses off that he's rotated it again and it's fucked is up! I'm not bothered about his once in a while decent free kicks cos most of the time is set pieces and corners hit the first man! Stupid signing! What's even more disappointing is that this was a game where it looked like width could've really worked for us. Was genuinely surprised to see how narrow the Napoli fullbacks were all throughout the match. In the first half particularly Kolarov was given lots of time and space.

Still got some kind of sadistic feeling that we're going to qualify from this group anyway. Perhaps too much wine.

Nail on head. We had the opportunities, just didn't take them. Zabs was a bit one dimensional, kolarov tried but was shit and no one supported them with any real quality.

Every time we have zaba and kolorov at full back we lost our attacking threat from wide IMO. Kolorov is too slow to bomb up and down like clichy and Zaba just isnt micah.

That game was so frustrating because I think we could have had them on the wings. They had 10 men behind the ball all in the middle and I dont think we played anyone wide?! What a joke.

I wanted johnson to come on but when he did he proved why Mancini doesnt trust him.

Aguero should have been much sooner though. Dzeko was fairly absent.

Micah would have been a huge improvement, going forward, but which defensive Micah would show up tonight?
If it was the QPR Micah, Napoli would have been out of sight by half-time

Not when you consider the same Spurs team we put 5 past, beat better teams than Napoli last season & the rags got to the final. We are not the same force in Europe as we are in the Prem. It's our fault we're going out.

To be fair you and I both know the champs league is entirely different. It's full of diving cheating racist time wasting overrated european cunty clubs that wanna spend more time on the turf whinging and crying about a nothing challenge. The champs league is a chance for the world of football to bask In the overrated glory of the top teams cheating their way to success while the honest teams lose out because they have no experience of how to manipulate the ref and the fans and the media into believing they have the same right to be competing on a level playing field with the regulars.
