Obsession

Postby Invisible Man Fan » Wed Nov 23, 2011 1:16 pm

I know this may seem a bit pot and kettle, but has anybody noticed the major obsession our cross town rivals have over us recently, especially since the derby?

It really came to attention last night when facebook was full of the usual "Channel 5 on Thursday" comments from them, but not a single comment about their own team.

I have just been called obsessed for having a '6-1' profile picture by a fan that neglected to remember his own team were even playing last night, and he isnt even a plastic fan.

I know we should take it as a compliment, but it's really beginning to piss me off, because they are all waiting for us to make a slip and then jumping on the band wagon......anyways rant over
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

That's because the wheels are falling off their present bandwagon, so they need to find a new one.

*EDIT*
Peter, will you get rid of that video, keeps reminding me of what was probably the most disappointing game I have ever been to.

mmmm, what a quandary - making a thread about them being obsessed about us, - after they have accused us of being obsessed about them, but both denying that any obsession ever took place.
