And Joe Hart needs a fuckign slap as well !! forgot about him.It is his responsibility to ensure he has someone on the front post ...to concede a goal like that was fucking criminal.
Can we slag him off for a few more posts please ?

These are a few of the basic errors we've made in Europe this season. We get away with it against the Blackburns and Wigans but pay for it in Europe. We might also have paid for such rudimentary mistakes against the Rags, but for a change we had a bit of luck before we ran riot.

Nah, we defend against stuff like that week in week out & would concede lots more if we defended as badly in every department as we do in the Chumps Lg. We're not a top side when we play in that competition, either attacking or defending, we're full of holes. We let in the odd power play header in the Prem but we don't let flicky shit like that cost us goals very often. Even the 2nd goal; if the defence were looking for a ball behind, that would normally be a pass straight to Gareth Barry who'd be covering on the edge of our box. Yaya & Nige were absolute shite, didn't cover enough or get into position fast enough; nowhere near it. On several occasions that goal was on, with players unmarked behind Toure. Just a quick jog of 10 yards would fix it but he doesn't see it or can't be arsed.

If we defend the same, indeed play the same v Liverpool (like we did last year) we will get fucking twatted (like we did last year). Chances are we'll be back to our confident selves & twat them instead though. For some reason, we are underperforming in Europe (look at the chances we missed at the other end, Balotelli would bury that header on a Saturday).

Agree but even with them playing, I doubt we would have seen the same City. We've been nowhere near it in any game imo, even away at Villareal when it was easy, we couldn't find the same level. The fans have been the same imo; no real atmosphere v either Napoli or Villareal. Bob has made strange decisions. The whole thing has been a case of 'we're not really here'.

Agree with the last points that different players would not have made much differrence overall, they have basically been undewhelming in the CL. Psychological? Looks like lack of effort but in truth it is a lack of fluidity and it effects everyone including Silva.
Milner for me was the only player playing his normal self.
Other than the general criticism the only player I really would pick out to come down on is Yaya. Not at the races in that position and it causes real problems as other players look for him to do his job and then have to try and cover, late when they realise he isn't going to do even the basics. Major fuck ups made out of the confusion of him not doing the simplest of stuff.
It might be a little harsh but he cost us the two goals v Fulham and he did a very convincing impression of the same thing v Napoli.

I knew it was going to be a mare of a game for him after about 2.21 secs. he got the ball after Napoli tried to attack from the off and Zabba broke it up near our penalty area.. anyway yaya gets the ball and the whole Napoli team was over on their left, the right was completely and totally empty.. apart from Mario waving his fucking arms. Yaya in acres of space and with all the time in the world looks right at Mario and does a fucking turn on himself in the middle of the park for god knows what reason, at which point about 3 Napoli players look over and see Mario and run over to cover the right. Massive obvious chance to let Mario break after 3 mins just thrown away. i'd really like to know why the dumb fuck did that because he certainly looked and he could certainly see that the whole of the Napoli right was open all the way to the goal. That set the pattern for me for his play for the rest of the evening. Slow indecisive and hanging on to the ball for far too long for no good reason whatsofuckingever.

Picking on Yaya though doesn't mask the fact that the whole team bar a couple of players has been flat in the CL

Clearly, as Chelsea are currently showing, you need to alter your playing style occasionally to succeed in Europe. City are looking naive in comparison to workmanlike Chelsea.

A bit unfair Ted. Only 900 went to Naples cos of the chance of getting stabbed (ok with uefa/fifa by the way. paper is far more dangerous). My wife asked me not to go for that reason or I`d`ve gone. When we scored you could hear them, as with the 1400 at villareal.
