Was if you had a right foot. Got to give Reina credit for standing up so long that their entire defence was on the line waiting for the shot

Unfortunately we were so deep that no one else could get up to support. Yaya was about 5 yds short of a blast into the net.

Yaya got there but David didn't have room to pass it to him and decided to take a weak shot which was pointless at that stage as there was a defensive wall formed up on the goal line !

Two players got there but Silva didn't show his usual composure & see them. Not surprising as he'd been clearly shagged out for a good 20 mins by then.

Sorry but a player of SIlva's quality has to finish that off. I would have slated Dzeko, Nasri or whoever for missing that.
He should of hit it first time or should of gone round Reina.

SIlva is absolutely world class but like a number of our players needs to work on his weaker foot.

Sorry, but once he decided to not shoot first time the moment was lost. Had he of shot first time it would have been saved. Dzeko should have released him earlier.

Dzeko's part in it was superb.

Agreed. Can't fault Dzeko at all, I think Silva should of shot first time and tucked it into the corner, or just used his right peg. It reminds me against West Ham last year, he got put clean through, ten yards ahead of their defence and took so long sorting his feet out that the chance was gone.

How can you blame Dzeko for Silva not scoring? Dzeko was excellent in the build up play and couldn't have done any more - great run and great ball. Had he played it any earlier the keeper would have got to the ball before Silva. Silva fucked up, simple as.

4. The rags only managed a draw as well yesterday (to a team that we beat in the corresponding fixture) so our 5 point lead is maintained.

Towards the end you really could tell which team plays in Europe and which had a week off.

Another interesting stat, that ref has sent off 5 players so far this season, 3 were Liverpool opponents. Balos second yellow was very harsh..

Something ought to be done about him based on that record alone. Amazing stat. Very compliant, and didn't Liverpool's players just exploit it?

Under the circumstances I'd class it as a good point. Such a shame though, it could've been oh so much more.

No recriminations of our team, just let down by the powers that be.

Would have taken a point beforehand and delighted with it.

Liverpool are a good side, will finish in the top 6 definitely and may yet get into the Champions Lge spots - they are going in the right direction under Dalglish and for us to withstand that pressure in the second half and then even more so when we were down to 10 men shows great resilience Mancini has got together in the squad and the team. It also highlights even more that there is a togetherness and team spirit, which sometimes our critics like to say that we have none.

A point at Anfield is very good and had a look at the stats and Liverpool have only lost a total of 7 league games there in the past 5 years.

Good point with everything going against us. If they hadn't got that freak deflected goal I'm not convinced they would have raised their game and got anything.

We look tired though and we have to go to Emirates on Tues.

Fully expected to drop at least two points to United this weekend so to keep the gap intact after today is an excellent result.

Just finished the game and had the advantage of being able to pause and rewind. The most annoying part is that Lucas (I think it was) gives Dzeko an elbow a second or tow earlier in the situation leading up to Balo's challenge.

And Balo did not put his elbow in his face. It was only a yellow because the scouse twat fell to the ground covering his face and his teammate waving the imaginary card (and because it was Balo).

The softest card was Barry's. Totally. Un. Believable.

He did fantastically well, but if we are nitpicking, bearing in mind that I'm a Dzeko fan, he took one touch too many before crossing. Watch it again. An earlier ball would have given silva more time to weave his magic.

It has to be said that Reina did brilliantly and credit the dippers for getting 3 on the line.
