Its how we are playin that Im not convinced about. And it also comes down to games that we should be winnin if we are goin to push for a top 4 finish. My thoughts are also linked to what I watched last season. Iv been on the fence far too long now and I think its about time we looked a lot more convincing and organised.

richards so far and away the worst player on the pitch. horrible performance. lescott looks like a total waste of money. the way zamora turned him...zamora is crap, he can't score from 3 yards ffs. and the way he watched as they equalised. total shit.

2 none up at home to fulham and we get served up with that bollocks.

Late on?! during the match we saw, COUNTLESS of times today our back line hoof the ball up towards Ade.

Just cos you can't count that high doesn't make em countless ;o)

Seriously though that just isn't true, we tried to play down the wings the majority of the time and there is nothing wrong with the occasional hoof and Ade won his share of them earlier in the game but for the last 15 mins or so it seemed to be our only tactic and Ade was winning none of em! Why bring SWP and Stevie on if you're going to bypass them?

4 points and a game in hand off 2nd. Some fans don't deserve the opportunities in front of us.

The game in hand doesn't really help us if we fuck up again just like today.
We are sixth, not 2nd.

Is it so wrong for me to yet be convinced?? Im still waitin for some good, comfortable, consistant run of games..Im not askin for Hughes head, yet. But if we want to get a top 4 finish we should be beatin these sides. Im just a bit worried how we cant seem to kill teams off or turn a game on its head.

No one's saying that we shouldn't have won today chief. But what I will say is that of all the fixtures before this season, the United result is the only one which been a total negative. Draws away at Wigan & Villa are very good results and we've won the rest. Take into account the cup run too.

I'm not saying that any of us are entirely convinced yet, but people calling for him to go and the toys out of the pram style posts are laughable.

FFS we have lost one game this season and people are slating the manager for it, saying his tactics are wrong etc. Just accept that there are times when we are going to have dips in form and teams that we should beat will occasionally manage to get some sort of result against us just chill yer beans. WHO ARE CALLING FOR HIM TO GO?

"TOYS OUT OF THE PRAM ARE LAUGHABLE" POSTS ARE JUSTIFIED CONSIDERING WE WERE 2 - 0 UP AGAINST A MID TABLE TEAM WHO WERE PLAYING THEIR 3RD GAME IN A WEEK.

3 draws = 2 losses mate, in terms of points dropped. We have to change our mentality from only counting losses to counting points dropped if we are to become serious contenders.

The best chance of breaking into the big league is now with Hughes as this team, for better or worse, is very much his and we haven't got the time for a new person to either a) learn to work with it or b) to start again from scratch. We now have to see out the Hughes learning curve and hope that at the end of it he will make the grade.

I'll go along with that.

Lets try this mentality..

Chelsea dropped 6 points
Rags dropped 8
Arsenal dropped 8
We dropped 9
Villa dropped 10
Tottenham dropped 11
Liverpool dropped 12

Surely the mentality change should involve us trying to be more positive and supportive of the team and not dwell on the neagtives! In your eyes 3 draws = 2 losses, but surely you can see the positive in the fact that we haven't lost those games,

No-one else in the league has lost fewer games than we have.

I think the blame for today lies squarely on the shoulders of the players.

There is enough experience in that team that situations like their second goal simply should not happen, and no amount of tactics can resolve something as basic as organisation. This should have been something we have learned by now, but clearly their second goal today, United's winner, Villa's goal, just 3 goals off the top of my head have cost us 4/6 points due to a lack of concentration and attention to detail by those organising the defence, and dopey fuckers like Richards and Lescott falling asleep / and / or panicking. Take this idiocy out of our game, and we could easily be top of the league.

I think Hughes should be within his rights to expect better from his players in such situations, particularly given the quality of the players who are tasked with organising these things on the pitch.

I think Lescott is going to be very very lucky not to be spending much of this season on the bench, as I would be extremely tempted to either bring Vinny or Nedum when fit, or even get the chequebook again in January if Lescott doesnt buck up sharpish. There is settling in, and there is being downright shit, and unfortunately the feller is having a mare.

so we are not making progress? You are all not happy with todays result and I understand that, but some comments are a little bit silly.

So we have drawn the last 3 games

WIGAN AWAY - we were losing in this game and also went down to 10 men - last season we LOST
VILLA AWAY - we were losing in this game - last season we LOST
FULHAM HOME - Last season we LOST

Some would say we ARE making progress and that is an extra 3 points that we didnt have on last season.
