Get stuck into Mancini, he's gone far worse on it than most of us. Go on; go for it.

"He didn't deserve the second yellow card against Liverpool," Mancini said of Balotelli, "but I hope that he stops doing this because I'm sure that if Mario was on the pitch we would have won the game against Liverpool."

Mancini, whose side host Norwich City today, warned that he may decide against bringing his protégé on in big games, given his disciplinary record. In March, City were eliminated from the Europa League by Dynamo Kiev after Balotelli was sent off 35 minutes into the second leg.

"He did this against Dynamo Kiev last year," recalled Mancini, "and I should probably have paid attention to this situation in the game against Liverpool. If Mario is on the bench it's probably better that I put on another of our strikers."

Looking back on Sunday's draw, just the second league game this season City have failed to win, Mancini suggested he ought to have used Edin Dzeko instead. "Against Liverpool I had Edin and Mario on the bench," he said. "At the time I thought Mario was good because we wanted to win and only had one striker on the pitch. Maybe if I put Edin on we would have kept 11 players on the pitch, because this wouldn't have happened with Edin."

Balotelli has been in exceptional form recently, scoring nine goals in 10 games before the Liverpool match, but Mancini demanded more if he is to be relied upon. "He has improved a lot. He has played well and has been an important player for us. So I want him to continue to improve," he said. "I took one red card in 20 years, Mario has had three red cards in two weeks! For a striker it is impossible to take yellow card, yellow card, yellow card."

I await your condemnation of Bob.

Commenting on what went wrong after the event is fine if your looking to blame someone. But the way the event panned out to my interpretation is that Mario did not go into the tackle in a fashion that would lead to a booking. It was a case of the ref being a twat.
Mario did not make a reckless challenge. He would have had to read the fuckers mind to figure he was gonna book him for that.

Remember George Best (sorry) telling MIchael Parkinson how he wanted to score at Wembley by flicking the ball over the goalkeeper and nudging it over the line with his backside. Mario has the same cockiness and at least as much talent.

Sorry, but although he has the same cockiness he hasn't got even close to the talent George Best had.Not on the same planet.

Usually I'm with the "nowt's as good as it used to be" brigade, and obviously Balotelli's won nothing yet, but i've not been as excited by a footballer in a long time. I saw George Best go past Chopper Harris at O.T., put his foot on the ball and go back around and beat him again, and Balotelli has that same way about him.

I wish people would stop perpetuating this George Best myth, the drunken Irish thug (ask Glyn Pardoe) was vastly overrated and this pathetic Best love-in on a City board of all places is truly sickening.

This waste of 2 good livers cunts greatness was all marketing ploy, a celebrity culture love fest and clever club merchandising. George Best was sold as the lead singer of the Manchester United and unfortunately it seems that some on this board have fallen for it.

What a bitter wee shit you are. Best was probably the most talented player in the english league ever. Just because he played for the scum doesn't mean he cant be talked about on here. And his football talent was/is not a myth. Nor was he a thug. Except in your thick skull.

Almost everything you said is bullshit. You got his name right and being a drunk. Whoopee doo.

Im not going to defend his tackle on Pardoe.

And if you give abuse then expect to take it.
