AC Milan offer Pato to Man City for Tevez
AC Milan are willing to offer Alexandre Pato to Manchester City in a swap for Carlos Tevez.
The Daily Star Sunday says Milan want the AWOL Tevez on loan in January but are now considering proposing a swap deal involving Pato, 22.
City aren’t keen on a temporary move for the striker, unless there is a guarantee of a permanent deal.
But City boss Roberto Mancini might be more interested in a swap if Brazil defender Thiago Silva, 27, is involved.
Silva, though, is valued by Milan at £40million and they would prefer to keep him.

POINTS MEAN MOST TO POTATOHEAD
First team coach David Platt claims the number of goals Manchester City are scoring this season is "irrelevant" compared to the importance of winning games.
First team coach David Platt claims the number of goals Manchester City are scoring this season is "irrelevant" compared to the importance of winning games.
The Barclays Premier League leaders took their tally for the season to 48 in just their 14th game as they hammered promoted Norwich 5-1 at the Etihad Stadium. City are well on course to break Chelsea's 2009-10 Premier League record of 103 but Platt insists that is not important.
"The goals are irrelevant as long as we get the points," said Platt.
"You hear things leading into the week, playing against a newly-promoted side - albeit one that have done quite well for themselves and are in a mid-table position. People automatically assume now we are going to go out and get five, six, seven or eight goals against these teams.
"To be honest, we would take one as long as there was no reply because that would get you three points all the same."
Norwich boss Paul Lambert conceded his side were a distinct second best but at least felt his players gave a spirited performance.
Lambert said: "They are a top, top side. Their movement is brilliant, first class. But you don't help yourselves when you concede the goals we did.
"The first goal was poor and the second one should never have gone in from that distance. I won't blame individuals, we are a team, but I was glad we kept going.
"How do you compete with that? But what my group have got is a great willingness to try to do well. If you go and play them at their game they will pick you off all over the place because their movement is that good.
"The gameplan worked to an extent but the second goal was really poor. You hold your hand up. We were beaten by the better side but I am delighted we never folded."

Still think we are trading up if we give Tevez. Just make sure Pato is on manageable wages and we can easily get rid if he is not a fit.

Bottom line is that unless we had aready identified Pato as a target and really wanted him then just forget it. We dont need to get maybe players for convienience.

I still think Bobby is after Lavezzi.

A player who can slot into any of the front four positions.

Last week he just scored his first Seria A goal this season, after he was injured after the game with Barcelona, at Nou Camp. I've read somewhere he has the same problem that Owen had in the past. Imho he is not a good deal and beside that, from last i've head he is still shagging Berlusconi's daughter.

Don't want Pato, even on a free transfer. Thiago Silva however I would definitely be happy with.
