Let's see what happens with the CL first and then we can decide. If it's the Europa, we'd be best getting out at the first hurdle. Then plough in for the domestic treble with all gunsblazing and a couple of new faces.

If we scrape through, ie if Villareal by some miracle take something from an excellent Napoli team, the CC will have to be the 2nd team ala Arsenal. Which might still do the job as Scouse 1 are not really that strong.

The trick is our rotation though, when you have depth like ours the risks of an individual injury go way down.

IF we trash them like we did at the start of the season I think it could go a long way towards helping us win the league. Remember Arsenal after losing the CC final last season? Depletet.

If we trash them again we show it was not a coincidence and can really take alot of air out of their baloon. Bet Ferguson played the old "This was a fluke" or "Won't happen again" card after that match, if we do it to them again then he won't have much to say will he?

Top teams thrive on matches like this and if we want to be a top team we need to be at our best in matches like Bayern at home to get out of CL groups or Liverpool over two ties to get to a final etc.
