It's just how it is. Were in a country full of people who wanna moan and hate everyone who does well for themselves . Mario did nowt wrong against Liverpool and nowt against Norwich and gets shit. Like ronaldo said the other week. People hate him cos he rich , successful and gets the women. Everyone hates city cos we had a stroke of luck in sheikh mansour . The fact everyone else spent money, took players off us, we still went when in div 2 all gets forgotten. It's us vs everyone else. Simple as that.

Except that pretty much every club in the English top division feel that the media/referees are againt their own particular club.

Maybe, but we never got half the shit we got till we became rich. Before that nobody bothered with us. That's proof that as soon as u successful u are hated. Like I said, just how it is. English mentality

There is no conspiracy.

There are however loads of rags, cockneys & scouse (both red & blue) sympathisers in the media. This isn't paranoia it's 100% true. Then, there are newspapers, TV stations etc etc etc who are aware that a huge percentage of their viewers/readers are rags, cockneys & scouse (mainly red) sympathisers.

It's a known fact that in Italy, the Milan clubs + Juve have a lot of supporters in the media who put out propoganda on their behalf. It's a known fact that the same thing happens in Spain, with Barca & Real.

Are some of you so stupid as to believe that it's not happening here ?

Conspiracy: absolutely not.

1000s of journos/media people with their own agenda which works better if we fail on & off the pitch: absolutely.

Take a look at Garth Crooks team of the week to see how little he knows. He's got Phil Jones in at centre-half when he played centre-mid on Saturday and Steven Fletcher in at centre-mid when he played centre forward on Sunday. Tossbag!!

I bet if I went looking for a message board for the 92 teams in the league, I bet every forum has a 'the media hate us' I be even Fulham and West Ham think 'they are out to get us'.

Nothing beats a good old working class chip on the shoulder.

Enjoy the glory. Who cares what anyone else thinks. Or just dont watch something you know is going to annoy you. It is really simple.

For what it's worth, Warren Barton over here on Fox loves him to bits.
Where has all the fun gone in football. I remember Rodney Marsh entertaining us years ago, as did Buzzer. Those are the things i remember from my early days watching City, not, with all due respect, the great full back play of Willie Donachie, or defending of big George Heslop, as great as those players were, but the cheeky skills of Marsh and Summerbee.

If it's faceless robots these media hacks want, there's plenty out there, but in 20 years time, it will all be washed away, whilst we'll still be talking with affection of Ballo. May it long continue.

It's human nature to resist change - people find comfort in routine. We're challenging their comfort zones.

The club care. It is one of the most important things. I'm amazed you don't know this considering how often they keep telling everybody how important the global image is & how much money they are spending on promoting a positive spin on it. I'm amazed that anyone would think that it's anything but bad news for Utd & others if we succeed & find it strange that anyone would think their friends in the media would be anything less than hostile toward it. Or perhaps after being the biggest cash cow for the British media for the last 50 years, they don't have a lot of friends in the media? Really ?

It's because he wasn't automatically chosen for the Rag, Chav, Dipper or Arse manager, even without doing his badges.

Garth Crooks is THE worst ex-player pundit on any of the main football programmes EVER. The BBC should fuck him straight off their show.

I agree though that there is no conspiracy against us in the media however they would all, to a man, love it, just love it, if we fell apart after Christmas. They're probably preparing their copy already.

Stuff the lot of em.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, we are City. We were there thirteen years ago when we were shocking and we'll be there if it all goes tits up again. The media won't change that or us.
We have the best squad in English football. Who cares if Spuds and 'arry are the media darlings. We have broken points and goal records already this year. Who gives a large one if Modric gives Crooks a hard on. We all love Balo's antics. We've proven ourselves to be better without Tevez.
Let's enjoy the football, our football, our City, and up yours to everyone else.

Since it followed my post and has no quotes, I would have to assume it's directed at me - though I'm AMAZED how you can draw such conclusions and make such assumptions based on what I wrote.

Undoubtedly great player that he was, Big George Heslop's defending was, at a lot of times, very exciting indeed........to opposing fans, that is ??!!.......

Much as though I loved him, he used to give me heart failure at times.

When I watched MOTD, the only bias I saw this week was the spurs love in. I missed the Chelsea game and comments, but for us they concentrated a bit on good goals but quite a bit on Norwich. For Arsenal they gave Wigan a going over. Even the rags got stuck with comments about how poor Villa were

For spurs though, there was a brief mention that Bolton had 10 men and aren't very good before spending 5 minutes salivating over Spurs followed by Hansen's 'it doesn't get better than that'. Even when asked about the Cahill sending off they went on about Parker and Adebayor closing him down rather than working out if the ref got it right or not.

Unbelievable. It was like there was a London team with an English manager the way they went on about it.
