'Arry wants either Drogba or Anelka to replace Adebayor. I would never have loaned him to Twitcher in the first place. I actually think Alex would be a decent replacement for Kolo. But why does Mancini say he doesn't need a fourth striker??

how can anyone value torres after the past few years. He was good two years ago, but since then been dogshite. For Chelsea I thinks it's about 5 goals in 30 games (and it's not like he isn't getting service with the players around him). While I don't want Anelka, I'd have him over slow, depressed torres in a heartbeat

Alex would be a great addition to centerback if he was willing to be on the bench 90% of the time (which doesn't seem likely)

Wouldn't swap a poster of the real Shrek for Torres anymore. He looks finished with no sign of improvement no matter what Chelsea do for him

Alex takes a great free kick, he is as dozy a defender as there is, just not good enough, Anelka yesterdays man. Torres for Tevez I would all day Torres would be ideal for us. The player is in there Silva would bring it out.

I'm sorry but what sliver of promise has Torres shown you for the past 2 years? Every time I've seen him he's slow and shit.

At Athletico he got under 40% goals/games (82/214)
At liverpool slightly over 65/102 which would be a lot higher if it wasn't for his horrible 2010 season.
At chelsea hes worse than shit 3/25 (12%). And he's 27, in his prime but not like he's going to keep improving

For his price tag, please tell me why on earth you still have faith in him?

I take it you didn't watch the game against Norwich yesterday?

Do we have any more information re the details of Adebayor's loan move to 'Arry's mob ?

I'm just wondering if, in January, we received an offer to buy Adebayor, from a third party, could we legally terminate the loan agreement and sell him at that point ?? Twitcher wouldn't be too pleased and would probably turn purple with a pending heart attack and it might well de-rail Spurs' (deluded ??) title ambitions.

With regard to the Alex situation, I think we should forget about other teams' cast-offs and go for the real deal instead, in the form of Neven Subotic.

I'd like to think given the experience we had with Joe Hart being on loan and we had to draft in an emergency goalkeeper that we'd have some sort of provision in place.

Or are you not allowed to terminate year-long loans?

As far as I know, loan deals between clubs in the same division have to be season-long and no recall option.

Class is undoubted, Unhappy and in a team falling apart, stuck in the post Jose malaise is not helping Torres, so Form has gone.
The Chelsea dressing room must be one very odd place, for both Torres and AVB. Sign him whats the worst he goes back to A Madrid for 20 odd mill.

fair enough, maybe I just didn't watch him enough when he was scoring all the time so all I know of him is his current useless displays.

And with anelka/Alex saying they want to leave, Chelsea struggling, and other problems around; you think Lampard would act like a leader around there and try to pull people together. You know, pull the team ahead of his ego instead of sulking all over the place.

Yes, I saw him resolve a couple of mistakes of Kompanys and spend his time covering for missing fullbacks, I dont think he looked the answer, but he managed, given regular football I believe he can still be a good player.

He was bobbins for the first 20mins then he looked ok. With more gametime I have no qualms about Kolo and his ability tbh

We've been through enough with Anelka already, no thanks.

As far as Alex I think we can do better. Kolo needs to go in the long term. Kompany needs to start improving quicker, Joleon is Joleon a very good Prem defender nothing more. Savic is looking more promising every game but is still very young and liable to make mistakes. We need either an outstanding first choice CB or a player prepared to fullfill a Zabba role of pushing the starting pair (Joleon/Kompany) for a place and ready to step into the breach for every game but prepared to warm the bench without it affecting his pride.

^^ This ^^

A man who has been a good player for us before and a great player for arsenal for so long does not lose his entire ability so quickly, he just needs gametime and confidence, hopefully the Europa League will give him that to ease him back to his best.
