Lehmann: "Very, very boring" City

I usually ignore this type of fucking drivel, but this fucking cunt desperately needs a good beating around the head and neck. CUNT!!!!!!!!!!

Former Arsenal and Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has claimed the Champions League is better off without Manchester City after they were eliminated from the competition despite beating Bayern Munich 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Lehmann, working as a pundit for German television, could not hide his pleasure at seeing City drop into the Europa League as Napoli joined Bayern in qualification from Group A of the competition.

"Man City play very, very boring football," he said. "They just make their opponents fall asleep with lots of possession. But to be honest, that is not tactically very demanding. The way they play here is the way any amateur team plays, only not on such good grass.

"They just pack men behind the ball, have five against two and just move the ball around. The goal then just comes from a fortunate circumstance."

Lehmann, who played in the Champions League final for Arsenal against Barcelona in 2006, albeit for only 18 minutes before being sent off, was also unimpressed by the atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium.

"There was no life in the stadium," he said. "It was dead. The fans are so quiet. You have got to say, though, that they have not got anything really to get excited about here. They had possession all of the time, albeit in their own half where nothing was happening.

"It is a shame because it is not typical English football. Napoli have heart and passion and I liked them. It is good that they have gone through. We don't want to see Manchester City in the Champions League."

City have been in sparkling form in the Premier League, with Roberto Mancini's men currently top of the table having scored 48 goals in 14 matches.

Can't think of anything to say that's not extremely xenophobic, so I'll just stick with who cares what some mad ex-footballer says.

All I can think of is that he watched the Norwich game as 'research' knowing he would be involved with punditry for the Bayern game - we were pretty flat for most of that game mainly due to Norwich being on the pitch but not wanting to play.

That interview says a lot more about Jens Lehmann than it does about us.

Stange how a German who's played for numerous German teams, national team also, as well as Arsenal, now has something to say about City. Let's face it, he has won more than most but for him to say we play boring football is a joke. When he was part of the invincibles they managed a healthy 73 goals which was just short of 2 a game. Compare that with our shitty stats of 48 in 14, nearly 4 goals a games so far and from those stats you'll see that his team have far out-shone our current one.

Shame his club went down hill from that point, if they'd have carried on he could've been a household name.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

He's clearly an attention seeking twat - and his comments have definitely caught everyone's attention. He's not got a newly released biography to plug has he?

If he thinks we are boring, don't let him into Goodison Park.

Goodness me, even our sternest critics aren't saying we are boring anymore. What a fine way to get yourself dismissed as a crank.
