Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Anyone got a closet rag in thier clan

Postby gillie » Sun Dec 11, 2011 11:20 pm

I ask this ? because my Dad is the biggest closet rag i know when we talk football he is ok until i mention any rag player. Then his hackles rise as if i have spoken out of turn.I sttated the other day after they were dumped out of the CL that Rooney was a twat for arguing with the officials after thier game and before his UEFA hearing. My Dad said dont your players argue with the ref i said yes but not like that twat anyway the discussion then turned to our respective CL groups and believe it or not my old feller said the rags had a harder group.Btw my Dad says he is an Oldham fan but he is'nt.

There are rags in my family due to marriage, some even related to players of the past, but NONE in the blood.

I am pure. the only rags anywhere near my family are those my daughters have brought in. All 4 of my kids are avid Blues.

My little half Sister, Grrrr... in my defence I have never lived under the same roof as her, she's only 16 and deluded. She's not really into football so doesn't bother me.

In my direct family, no rag fans, both sides of the family. I do know there is one rag in our family, but he is a laughing stock, so it is ok. Other than that, the direct family is blue. The dad, obviously, is the cause of all of this :P.

Unfortunately myself and my youngest daughter ( by force ) are the only blues in my family.
My Dad was a massive City fan and passed this pleasure on to me.
Unfortunately both my sisters married rags and I now have 5 nephews and 4 great nephews all rags.

My eldest daughter has no interest in football at all, but I have taken my youngest to a couple of games and she does take a interest
in respect of checking results etc.
So I am hoping I can keep the blue line going with my daughter.

PS. All my nephews will be receiving City related xmas cards this your again !!!!

My nephew is from New York. His class in school are all v interested in "sakker" and either follow Nil by arse or the rags. He however is a fully kitted out tooled up blue. There are already two reds turned blue and his uncle is sending him match programmed to sell to them at 20 dollars a go. Good lad.

The rags in my immediate family died so I wish I still had rags in my family, closet or otherwise!

Fine blue stock for us.
Although my lad is engaged to a rag and they are having a little girl in March. His bint has put me and Our Stu on a strict "No City Tat" warning .
One of my sisters also married a rag....from Norn Iron. Never trust getting involved with them.

Tbf tattooing a newborn is a little harsh mate, even if City related.

My step-daughter's partner (along with his cheapskate son) is a Scummer.

Apart from being a big, fat, obnoxious, loud-mouthed pile of detritus, he's a completely odious individual.

He's extracted the Michael from me on numerous occasions in the past but I won't even speak to him and it causes all sorts of family problems, particularly at times such as Christmas.

Mind you, he's been a bit quieter of late which, for him, is an absolute miracle.

My Mum follows the rags but that is mainly because when she worked for ICI she used dine in the restaurant as the Busby Babes & new them to talk to (right up until the crash), i cant be angry with her she'll be 80 in a few months.

My Godparents (Mum's cousin who live in Moston) are also rags, although until about 10 years back he used to go and watch Oldham play with his best mate.

They are the only Blood relatives, all the rest are Blues.

My brother in law is a "rag", i invert that because (A) until he was 10 he supported Red Scouse (B) he has NEVER been to a game at the swamp (he is now 31or 32), he is the gobbiest cunt going until this season.

For his 30th I had some pictures of him in a Liverpool kit blown up and put up at his birthday party, his wife didnt notice (couldnt tell a football from a rugby ball) she just thought "he looked cute". The shit he got off mates who never knew he was a turn coat was fooking brillliant, it took him about 6 months to talk to me and that was only because he needed a favour :-)

All my mum's side are rags but she has been converted over the years by the old man.

One of my cousins went to every rag game last season. I took great pleasure in asking him how he enjoyed wembley when I was with him at a christening in the summer....at Eastlands.
