No way, I can't believe it.
You'll be saying he used to also play for Utd next! As if Sky would have someone like that as the neutral commentator on a City v Chelsea game.

I could cope until he started screaming when Chelsea were making the wrong sub. He was so biased he actually apologised.

The apology was total phoney bullshit designed to appeal to all the rags scousers & cockneys who were watching & willing Chelsea to win in order to pull us back in. They will all of had a little chortle at that.

Dont normally get would up by in match summarising and I like Wilkins but that was shameful. The fact that he issued a tongue in cheek apolgy makes it all the worse as it suggests that he was conscious of it and wasnt even trying to be impartial.

He's a shit commentator to boot aswell.... Best line of the night for me was just after Sturridge turned inside our box and blazed narrowly wide.... Wilkins said, and I quote, "well, if he had got that on target it would have sailed into the top corner". That's surely the same as saying "if balotelli hadnt got that shot in target it wouldn't have been a goal.... The guy is a first prize muppet and his commentary has been wank all season.... Just saying random bollocks to fill the air waves.

Since the changes at Sky I actually think that Wilkins has been one of the best co-commentators, but I would agree with most on here about him last night. The only way they could have balanced it up was to replace the main commentator with Mike Summerbee, now that would have been worth listening to.
Maybe the answer would be for Wilkins to just not commentate on Chelsea games. Let's be honest, if Uwe or Goater were commentating regularly and were doing so for a big City game, would they really manage to be impartial throughout?
Blame Sky not Wilkins in my opinion.

Reminds me bit like FIFA commentary... And we've opened the scoring here at 1-0. Well no fucking shit!!!
I'm sorry, I didn't realise there was another score line that could be achieved just by scoring a goal.... I'd love to see a game where the first goal is scored and the scoring is opened at 3-2.

I don't see whay all the fuss is to be honest ... everyone is bias to certain teams to a certain extent. I was more concerned about our discipline in the second half rather than what some ex rag/chelsea man thought, rise above it as it makes you seem bitter or as Mark says turn the sound off

Do you get some sort of kick out of being contrary RH?
It was akin to listening to Fanzone with just one team represented. I don't think Wilkins is the worst but he should'nt be commentating on this game, the same way as Alan Smith shouldn't have been commentating on our game against Arsenal. It is too difficult for them to hide their bias, the broadcaster should be impartial.

Why should we have to just accept it ? Why should many of the the commentators & 'expert' panels be made up of members of our rivals, most of whom have a clear bias towards their favourites ? We should be able to watch a match without having to turn the fucking sound off.
