Seem?

Why should we have to just accept it ? Why should many of the the commentators & 'expert' panels be made up of members of our rivals, most of whom have a clear bias towards their favourites ? We should be able to watch a match without having to turn the fucking sound off.

You certainly don't have to accept it. For me its more important what City do rather than what someone (who just happens to be commentating) thinks. Each to their own but some people (not you Ted) seem more upset over Wilkins than losing the match, I just find that odd/sad/bitter tbh

He couldn't wait to jump ship and join the Rags in 1979, so maybe he was making up for having bugger all to do with them till he turned up, briefly, as caretaker manager twenty years later. Considering the huge list of clubs he played for, it's only surprising he didn't turn up at City in some capacity when we were in the third division - maybe teaching everyone how to pass sideways a bit better. His love for Chelsea is ersatz. He's a phony.

Yeah the bitterness is lacking.Having to blame some fucker who has no relevance to how we do is also lacking so guess you're right.

What are you talking about? People are just venting their frustration over the the bias from Sky's commentary team. This has nothing to do with bitterness or blame.

I don't think he was that biased, that was certainly not the main reason why he was so irritating. The constant inane raving about players ("Drogba, he's a good player", "Terry, such an important player" etc) & the same, shallow phrases he repeated to death ("They have to keep the ball, keep possession, possession is good, if you have the ball the other team can't score, look at them just keep it tidy, posseszzz...) are actually part of his usual shtick, whether Chelsea play or not.

I agree there. No matter how much I dislike the ratface, on TV he has appeared very professional thus far. It might change, he might still be on probation, but so far I must applaude his efforts. Despite his history, he seems to be very excited about City.

Wilkins, however... fack off. I dislike his stupid humour, I dislike his his voice, I dislike his commentary, I dislike his haircut. Why the fuck did Chelsea sack him? Well, I can understand why if I hear his commentary, but hadn't they done that, he wouldn't have started commenting on the games...

I must say though, when Yaya kicked Mata and he said "in the modern game you cannot do this kind of thing anymore (along the lines).... unfortunately. That 'unfortunately' made me chuckle.

This wasn't started about him hating us though was it? It was started because of his obvious bias for Chelsea. Like I said, I don't mind Wilkins in general, I think he's not bad at the punditry but when he is being biased toward one team on a broadcaster that's supposed to be impartial it gets a bit tedious. If I wanted to listen to bias commentary I would put on Fanzone, I don't so is it too much for me to expect balanced punditry? Having said that he did praise us at the start for the ball we were playing but when Chelsea got on top he could barely contain his excitement, we or fans of any other team shouldn't have to listen to bias commentary on a service we're paying for.

I personally found what he said to be non to unsympathetic toward us,and I did not hear anything that was hostile towards us.He may well have said stuff that people who are better informed than the majority of people who listen to him recognized as tainted with bias but thats only i think a small complaint.

As long as you have ex players doing the commentary you will never get an impartial view (and I don't think they even claim to be so) Depite all this I'd rather have bias ex players that know and appreciate the game than utter twats like Alan 'cunty toad' Green
