A mate pointed out to me a few years ago that nearly every ballet or opera performed in Britain has cheaper ticket prices than the average Prem football match...

In the United Kingdom, not one of the national opera, ballet or theatre companies turns a profit: they survive on taxpayer subsidies. Regional companies are even more dependent on handouts.

No. Legalised loan sharks that will shag grandma in front of you if you don`t pay.

If they were to take it the week before orvthe same week then I'd be ok with it.

Thing is, the club may need this time to shift the tickets. You are being given first refusal to but yours, and a timespan to do so. If you dont want to, then the club will move the tickets down the scale, thats all.

That said, it is a shame if you cant make it but Im sure others will take up your seat. Some day soon Ill likely be in the same boat if prices keep going up.

Football is bloody expensive, I will agree on that - I take 2 kids with me and purpsoely take my own food and drink now to save on the costs.

If you've signed up for the cup scheme your ticket is already shifted. therefore they know its gone and could easily just deduct from credit/debit card a week or two before

That's a good shout that mate because as it stands it's due out of my account on or before Friday 16th December, money that I could really do with over Christmas.

Just thought I'd bump this as a reminder for those season ticket holders on here (not in the Carling Cup scheme) that we can buy our tickets from today. Just got 2 for me and my lad in our usual seats, £50 in total.

Just booked my tickets, very pissed off that my usual seats had already gone!

Shit decision by the club not to reserve season ticket holder's usual seats for cup games.

Can't book ours today.

If my seat is gone, I'm not going to the game. I think that paying for a season ticket should entitle me to keep my seat unless the police/ground safety etc say otherwise. It would be the first home game (apart from the Zenith whatever the fuck cup) that I have voluntarily missed in almost 40 years but if I do miss it, I won't be going to many League Cup games next season either, if any.

If I don't go to the semi, what is the point ? If they don't count loyalty for anything, why should I bother to go to games I'm not that arsed about ? Hopefully it will still be there tomorrow as I'd like to go but if it's not then it will cost them a lot more money in the future, when my seat is empty for the shit games, & save me quite a bit.
