Spot on, i said it in the match thread, Stoke rolled over for us tonight big style, and when they played the rags should of won but still got a point. I know there different home and away but its still worth noting. Fulham should of done better tonight but we cant complain we got 3 points in wrapping paper with a bow on it off Pulis.

The point is that this has happened regularly in United games, not just this season but for years. Certain mid-table and more lowly teams have put out markedly weaker sides when playing United because they want to save their best players and their energy for matches against their peers. Well, that's fine, but when you are giving up some games before you begin you are skewing the the whole point of a league competition, in effect making it an uneven playing field. Last night was a rarity for us.

Indeed.
The difference is; most City fans I've spoken to have said immediately that Stoke just rolled over for us last night.
When we say the same about teams doing it at OT, people are queuing up to say we're talking bollocks.
