Mancini is a perfectionist. He loves Johnnoto bits but as talented as Johnno is, it is not enough for Mancini, who wants him to develop his defensive awareness.

Nige is a master at breaking up play and getting the ball back but I thing Mancini sees his distribution as a weakness. Barry offers us both and seems to cope very well with feeding such mobile front runners as we have.

I reckon that the club are prevaricating about his contract and will try and get a replacement in.

i agree sadly to some extent...it doesn't help that fuckface Kia is on the other end of the negotiating table, apparently.

I also agree Mr68. I've thought for a while now that he's on his way. I hope Bobby has a certain Roma player lined up as a replacement......

problem with de rossi is his age. with barry and yaya both nearing 30, we need to look at younger MF players imo.

I do mate.

I love Serie A and watch a lot of games.

This lad is a born winner, full of bottle and he can play. He'd give us a real competetive edge when the going gets tough and would be a fans favorite in a matter of weeks.

Soerry for butting in, is he better than De Jong, genuine question. As it appears Nige is looking at the exit door.

For me he's twice the player. Shields the back four, great tackler and offers far more going forward than Nige. He chips in with 5/6 goals each season and everything goes through him for Roma.

Enrique has deployed him as a sweeper for a lot of games this year but I think he's wasted there. He actually started out as a striker.

Id say he's a proper box to box midfielder with good defensive instincts. Top drawer player.
