Banned for smoking

Banned for smoking

Postby Sister of fu » Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:22 pm

Can anyone advise what the bans are if you are ejected for smoking, I have heard anything from 3 to 6 games.

The person that used my card for the game yesterday was ejected and they took my card. I did ring the club today and they pretty much told me that its tough and i will get game bans depsite not even being at the game.

The games that im going to miss are Liverpool x2 and the Man United one if its 3 games.

Has anyone been ejected if so if there an appeal process??

Thanks in advance guys.

when i got banned for 'smoking' it was the second to last game of the season, so i missed one and a half games. don't know how many games a standard ban is, but i'm quite sure appealing is pointless as i remember the length of time it takes to get a reply from the club.
only thing i could suggest is get onto Danny Wilson and explain it was somebody using your ticket (were they male btw?) and is there anything he can do?

I would imagine that you will be very lucky to get your ban overturned, but I think your best bet is to speak to Peter Fletcher although, I must admit, have seen a lot of these threads on bluemong, and I dont recally a success story.

The results of these threads on BM suggest that Peter Fletcher is a bit of a twunt, and takes a very hard line on smoking bans and will enforce them no matter what is said.

Perhaps have a word with your mate, he should probaly buy you tickets for all the games you are now missing out on because of his rule breaking.

the fact that this guy is male, and its your name on the seasoncard, and showsec make note of named bannee, and ensure its on CCTV could work in your favour. I'd avoid the Fletcher route as he has bigger fish to fry than a banned smoker, and pursue the Danny Wilson route.

I've been ejected twice for smoking..for some reason they never took my card..probably because of the fact I was kicking off

Got back in both times too..walked round to the main entrance..told them I had been stuck in traffic so was late and my card wasn't working and they let me in again

Surely dropping the fact that you've played for the club into said email would curry some favour?

Tell them I am willing to pay a fine or whatever. If nothing can be sorted, I will buy you tickets for the scum and second Liverpooh game. Will make sure you get to the games somehow anyway. Sorry again lass. If it makes you feel any better, I got really pissed drowning my sorrows last night, got about 3 hrs kip and have had the worst day at work as a consequence. The head kicking offer still stands as well

You should've just phoned the Box Office and said that you lost your card at the last game. When it came up you had been banned then ask why. Explain to them that you weren't there and had planned to miss the game anyway. Bob's your uncle, no ban and a shiny new card.

I was under the impression that i would have to report it lost to GMP and didnt want to get Tom in trouble if i was requested to do that and they started viewing footage and such. He feels bad enough as its is so him getting arrested for theft or sumat would make it even worse.
