Oh it's a hard life isn't it, Wayne?

If you really wanted to play Football then you would have accepted a loan deal somewhere, but you didn't. Stop fucking moaning and man up.

All that needs saying.

Does anyone feel sorry for him, I'm sure there's not many, if any?

I've got no problem with him sitting on his contract and picking up his 90k a week, at the end of the day it's a two way thing.

My problem is his insistence that he "just wants to play football", which is a load of bollocks, as he could take a pay cut and do that.

Money talks. Similar to Te*ez who I'm sure could've ended his contract in order to play football or be with his family or whatever. As others have said you can't really blame Bridge for sitting on his arse and taking the paycheques.

Clichy, Kolarov, Zabba, Lescott, Barry, Milner, K Toure, Ned... is Bridge currently our ninth choice left back?

Bridge has no real incentive to move; at best he's now only a Championship level footballer - perhaps not even that.

Moreover, if he's still associating with Frankie Saturday and she's based in London, he might want to stay in the Manchester area to keep her a little at arms length, otherwise her wedding ring finger might start getting itchy........

Bridge isn't to blame in all this. Whoever gave him that contract was/is to blame.

We signed him on the cusp of decline, and paid him way too much (and for way too long). I can't blame him for seeing out his contract since I suspect he knows his real level but it shows what his priority is.

Let's hope they sign people on past reputation rather than current scouting reports, then they just might.

I think Mancini was well out of order in this respect....if that had been said about me I would have slagged him off no end.

Bridge has been quite professional in that interview....most people wouldn't have been given the same circumstances.

He's over the hill and values himself too highly - if he hasn't got a club to go to then he needs a new agent, or needs to lower his demands (maybe both).

I think Mancini's golf comment was a reference to Tevez, he was joking. Probably not too funny to Bridge though.

The issue was clear before we bought him. He was unlucky at Chelsea by being injured when Cole was brought in. However he then signed a contract extension knowing he would never get to play. Why the hell would we sign a bobbins full back who clearly wasn't arsed about playing? Oh yeah, the welsh genius.

If he's happy to piss his career away earning a small fortune then fine more fool us for giving him the contract but don't start pretending you actually want to play.

Anyway Wayne, reason number two:

You're either colour blind or incapable of passing a ball. How many crosses and how many found a blue shirt?

Mancini mismanaged about Bridge here. He criticized his player publicly. A great manager will not do that. This also happened to Tevez. I think I see Hughes's point about autocratic. I won't be surprised if Dzeko will be his next victim.

Mancini has it spot on. Bridge could move on and still earn a fantastic wage 45000 a week is still almost 2.5 mil per year, hardly a pauper. With fair play now here we need him off the pay roll.

If he wants to sit out his contract then fine but at least he knows he will not play under Mancini so he can't then claim he wants to play as he knows the only way he can play is to move.

He's also criticised AJ, Mario and Micah when he doesn't feel they're performing as well as they should. It's his way. The difference with Bridge is that he clearly thinks the guy is useless.

As for Dzeko, he might, if he thinks it will work. Dzeko is a bit like AJ - can be brilliant at times and a waste of space at others. However he may react to public criticism differently so it depends on how Mancini thinks he'll react. Since we're top of the league, in the semi final of the Carling Cup and the 4th round of the FA cup I'm inclined to allow Mancini to manage his players how he wants.

3: You have no positional awareness for a fullback. If you were a centre half being played there due to injury it would be ok, but you've played there your whole professional career so how can you be so inept?

In the light of how things have unfolded at city since Hughes was sacked, i find your comments unusual. Why on earth do you think Mancini will victimise a player like Dzeko? Bridge also has enough opportunities. He, like others are willing to take top money for doing nothing. All contracts can be terminated, city have been very generous with such players as Bridge and Danny Mills previously.

It's also pretty odd that Hughes should make any reference to autocracy. This comment smacks of wum. Sorry, but that's how i see your comments.

Tevez deserves to rot on the bench. He's an employee, he can clean boots and slice the half time oranges as far as i'm concerned.
