Can't find it in the papers? Seems to be an internet based story from the foreign press with a shock headline that doesn't match the original quote it is based on i.e. agent says we are sending Savic out on loan to get more experience. Would hardly be a shock if he did...

If he plays a run of games for City in that position, when that run is finished, it's 50/50 either our league position will have dropped or we'll be out of one or all cup competitions. Johnny Evans was 10 times better v QPR than Savic was.
If Bob is loaning him out, it is a brilliant move & will give him an opportunity to play games whilst we have a look at him & learn whether he's worth coaching or to cut our losses like we (correctly) did with Boateng (who was better than Savic). Ned is a better player than both of them & still not good enough at CB.

But he could play right back allowing Richards to play at centre half as cover. We're going to be short of cover in a very busy January and there's no sense letting him go then unless there's someone else coming in.
Wouldn't understand Portugal though as his problem seems to be dealing with high balls and being roughed up. He'd be better served with a few months in the Championship to get used to the English game than a league that plays to his strengths
Blue Since 76 wrote:Considering Kolarov's injured, Kolo is off to ACN and Ned is probably off I'd be surprised by this. It would leave us with only 3 full backs and 2 centre halves during January. Suppose it could be done as a deadline day deal once we've go through most of the games and just before Kolo comes back. Or after another defender comes in...

Playing regularly for Sporting Lisbon has got to be a better optin for all, rather than have him keeping our bench warm. Players of that age need games and experience...and we'll drag a few quid in too.
Let Sporting bring him on and take the football risks and if he doesn't make it, we have lost nowt.

I see once again you've chosen to highlight a 20 yr old's 1st start in the league as the basis for his ability, while ignoring all his performances after that game.
