No, Really, Please Tell Me?

Postby Beefymcfc » Mon Dec 26, 2011 10:18 pm

What the hell is going? I can't remember how the Fulham fans reacted to the 2-2 but what's going on when we don't win? Dippers players and fans celebrating as if they'd lifted the FA Cup, the whole Chelsea supporting world jumping around in joy as if they'd won the league, and today, Brom players and fans rampant that they got a draw. And they were all at home ffs!

Can anyone explain why this is happening because I'd only ever be like that if we'd actually won something or beat the twats from the Swamp. Are they all really closet Untied supporters?

In all seriousness, it's due to the fact we're big dogs now. We have a huge worldwide reputation and one of the best group of players in the world. With that brings jealousy and a desire for other teams to beat us.

But to celebrate in such fashion? I don't even think I've seen teams celebrate like that when they've got something against the Rags. I wouldn't mind but 2 of those games weren't even them winning the game but drawing at home..

Goes with the territory we are now in. It happens to the rags all the time including many of us in the not too distant past who celebrate when someone beat them.

It's nothing personal. I remember the feeling when we beat Chelsea under Mourinho, when you face up to the best teams and come away with something, well it shows your potential, it lifts the whole club.

When you win then it would be fair enough. But to celebrate like they did for a draw at home?? That's just embarrassing!

Its a compliment.

All those scum fans saying its not over pre yesterday, well duh we knew that. It shows you pathetic they are that even though they are still 2nd, they think its won now.

They forget about all the massive away games they have to play, and they WILL fuck up atleast one match against a minnow.

We should have beaten West Brom, but the results we already have are worth about 5-6 points on the board against scum.

We really don't want to fuck up again, I hope in 2011 we can learn how to cope with "pressure"

Ended up sending a picture of the league table to one yesterday as I'd had to check we were still out of the relegation zone. After virtually half the season they're second and were celebrating that. Maybe we're bigger than we thought.

I still can't believe we are top of the table since we've been through this bit of a wobble. What's even more pleasing is that this is the Rags best start to a season, EVER yet we have out-done them over the course of the season so far with what I would suggest is far harder games.

Back to the thread though, has anybody seen fans celebrate like that after a draw for any other team? I'm not sure I have and I'm pretty sure I've never done it in all my time with City.

If we meet Mancini's target of 90 points then we are going to drop another 15 points before the end of the season. There will be suicides...

In view of this, Socrates, perhaps there should be a special thread opened up, advising people of the best way to top themselves, according to their own, individual requirements.

For instance, for those wanting to die a prolonged and agonising death, a suitable method could be suggested and for those wanting a quick and painless release, advice on this approach could be assembled.........

As a complete aside, just want to say that in the past I always enjoyed reading your posts and I, invariably, agreed with your viewpoints. Great to see you back.

when we beat chelsea under keegan 1-0 annelka penalty we were the same you could hardly accuse us of being united
sympatheisers, i understand where your coming from though. if we knock scum out the fa cup are we doing them a big favour
theyll only have the league to go for then, plus if we go all the way in it there will come a time where their playing league games when
were playing cup games. pts in hand for them and games in hand for us, they will not take europa league serious imo.

...But we BEAT Chelsea...Yesterday Wet Brom only got a draw and it was on their own middin. I can't remember celebrating a draw with anyone at ours. It may have happened but I certainly don't remember it.
Any rag's celebrations about our draw yesterday was more relief than happiness. Let them dance in the street all they want, who givesa fuck...It was only Wigan at the swamp.

Personally, I couldn't give a flying fucl about what the rags do. If they lose to us in the Cup..GREAT!...for us. I fancy another pot on the table...(at their expense)
