VERY difficult to say , so I'm not voting, but I think it's down to just us and 'them' . United are playing VERY well at the moment with a depleted squad - Can they sustain that though ? How much will the African cup abscences affect us ? How well will Mancini plug the gaps ? Who , if anyone will arrive in Jan ? Will we have a form slump ? (Probably - nearly every team does at some stage). We need a defender and another forward. Will we win the league ? 50-50

I think we will, but there will be some twists and turns between now and the end of the season, and I expect there may even be a period where we fall behind in the race. At the end of Jan, we could conceivably be in a final, have knocked the rags out of the cup (which they will then claim is a good thing), and be top of the league with wins vs Liverpool and Spuds in the bag.

January appears to be absolutely key to me though. We have Liverpool and Spurs at home, both of whom I would expect us to beat comfortably on our own patch. That then leaves us with United at home which really doesnt give me any concerns at all, Chelsea at home, whom we could and should have beaten away, and Arsenal away who I just think Mancini has the measure of Wenger.

So it is down to us making sure we don't slip up against the perennial banana skins for us such as Everton, and that we beat the likes of Norwich, Swansea, and the others who will be scrapping away for points in a month or two.

The thing that will win or lose us the league this year is to be as clinical as United/Chelsea have historically been at putting the lesser sides to the sword when it counts, because I don't see us fucking up against the bigger sides.
