ohhhhh...interesting. It's as if we've planned it.

I wonder if in some alternate universe (aka Rag Cafe) there's a team that plays in Salford who have fans bitching about us getting all the breaks and having the world against them as they try and unhinge the great mythical blue beast that is City. Some day. ;)

Ferguson's been doing that for years without the need for City to be involved as has Dalglish on Liverpool's behalf.

we're already part of the status quo then...just keeping things as they should be i suppose. Can you win without a bunker mentality? I'm not so sure sometimes. It's a sporting cliche, but for a reason i'd suspect. When the margin for error and the differences are so slight competitively you need every edge. It's why so many players in American sports love to thank "God" for their success...if they don't believe a higher power is at play they might just fail under the weight of their own hand -- it's hard to believe they are capable of their achievements without an externalization and deification of the acts themselves. Am i making sense?

Well, after Italy's win in the 2006 World Cup many said it was thanks to the "siege mentality" instilled in the team by the Calciopoli scandal which was raging at the moment; so maybe there's some truth behind this myth of a siege mentality bringing out the best out of a team and helping it win trophies.

Doomie,
Just as many on here consider we have been the butt of a more recent conspiracy against us as we drive onwards and upwards to challenge the rag's position, Liverpool have also long considered that they have been victims of a similar, longer term, situation against them. Also perpretrated by the rags.

Is it mere coincidence that we have seen irrational outbursts over the years from the rational personnell of multi global organisations, who are at the point of posing a threat to the rag's football or financial position in the market place.

Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal have all got history on this and in City's case, we are the targets of KH Rumminnigge...a very very powerfulman indeed in global politico/football circles....weird innit?
