I just have this novel idea that someone who supports the team should support the players that make up the team. Especially when the player in question has scored 10 goals 1/2 way through the season only playing every other game. Plus he puts in a good shift and keeps possession well. He may not have been at his best recently, but fans should give their own players the benefit of the doubt. If not, what good is your support?
would also like to mention again that Yorke is a grade A cunt

No, I honestly can't think of another game where he's walked off and I've thought 'he's quality'.
Hopefully he'll prove me wrong on Sunday.
I don't know what to say mate. He scores in our first 3 games of the season, we only lose to Bayern when he's been in the starting 11, he then comes on and scores 2 at the end of the Rags game, gets 2 at Wolves in the cup followed by scoring in each of the next 2 then is sidelined and used as sub for the foreseeable future.
But you're right, he's been shit apart from that game in your opinion, just my opinion is different.

freshie wrote:The problem is he looks very short of confidence - towards the end of the game against the scousers last night he looked as if he'd rather be anywhere but on a football pitch - and as a side trying to win 4 trophies we don't have the time to give him a few games to get it back. I have rarely seen a centre forward look as uninspiring as Dzeko did last night. When in form he looks unbeatable but as others have mentioned when he isn't he looks like a conference player - there doesn't seem to be any middle ground with him. One thing is for certain though - he needs a goal as badly as Torres does

He DOES NOT need a goal as bad as Torres does. Torres would blow every man in the stadium for a goal right now. On the other hand, it would be a nice pick-me-up for Dzeko to get a goal - nothing more. And especially since he's low on confidence as you say, this is the time when he needs the supporters to believe in him more than ever. Imagine that, we spend 20 mil on a striker just to tell him to fuckoff because he doesn't get a goal for a few games. Some people have the memory and patience of a toddler.

I would have thought a goal would be the best way of restoring some confidence but what the fuck do I know?

Edin is a confidence player and Bobby should never have benched early on as he was on fire and scoring at will.He does let himself down at times with his first touch but he also holds the ball up very well most of the time.I think we dont get up the pitch quick enough when he plays a lot of the time which isolates him and ends in us losing the ball.

You mean the Duncan Edaward's show. Helped with the first by being outjumped for the flick on, gave away the free kick for the 2nd and got a deserved booking and then capped it off with one of the funniest OG's I have ever seen.In the Jamie Pollock class I would think.

In the spurs game, he was brilliant. Outside of that, yes he's scored, but that doesn't mean he's played well. The rags game for instance, he got one with his knee, missed one and then fluffed the second shot but beat the keeper. You've got to be in the right place to score (ask the goat) but he just doesn't offer enough outside that. It's like watching Corradi or Adebayor on a bad day. I'm just not convinced he'll ever be a top centre forward in the premier league. Aguero has missed some sitters recently (ever since he changed his boots) but you can see the quality in him. He might not be doing enough at the moment, but you can see what he's got. I'm still struggling to see it in Dzeko after a full year
