I got news for you mate, he already is a top center forward in the premier league.

This is as stupid as "Yaya toure, what does he do?"

I just have this novel idea that someone who supports the team should support the players that make up the team. Especially when the player in question has scored 10 goals 1/2 way through the season only playing every other game. Plus he puts in a good shift and keeps possession well. He may not have been at his best recently, but fans should give their own players the benefit of the doubt. If not, what good is your support?

would also like to mention again that Yorke is a grade A cunt

I'm not slagging him off at the game. I've never slagged a City player off at the game. Well, McManaman maybe. So unless he comes on here regularly, my opinion is going to have no impact on him.

However, that doesn't change my opinion that I'm not convinced he'll ever be a top player in the premier league. I hope he is, obviously, but I just can't see it happening, as he doesn't seem to have pace, skill, determination or aggression in abundance and you need at least one. That said, his volley and header against Spurs were superb, the pace he's shown on a couple of occasions has been surprising, not least as it came from nowhere, and last night he suddenly got annoyed with Liverpool and looked a different player. Maybe he has got it in him and he needs more self belief, but I've no idea how you give that to a player.

And yes, he's scored goals, but look at the side he's playing in. If he was playing for a mid-table team, I doubt he'd have got 5 yet and no one would be thinking he was good enough for us.

I have rarely seen a centre forward look as uninspiring as Dzeko did last night. When in form he looks unbeatable but as others have mentioned when he isn't he looks like a conference player - there doesn't seem to be any middle ground with him. One thing is for certain though - he needs a goal as badly as Torres does

Are you for real? He actually looked better towards the end of the game and put in a more than acceptable shift, given we were never gonna go all out and attack Liverpool after the first half lead.

You've rarely seen a forward look as uninspiring as Dzeko did last night, ha ha ha ha ha ha, I take it you never saw the likes of Corradi!!!!!

I was at the game last night mate and his body language (shoulders slumped, head down etc) told me all I needed to know about his mental state. If you weren't at the game then all you have to rely on is what the tv cameras show you - which isn't everything

I was there too, all be it high up in the Colin Bell and a tad stoned and frozen stiff, but not really sure what your point is on this matter, even if I wasn't there, you can pick stuff like that up when watching on TV if you're looking for it.

I personally think it's just his playing style. I agree his form isn't great right now, however even when he was banging them in left right and centre, he never really looked like full of confidence like the Tranaldos and Ballotelli's of this world, he's special in his own awkward unique way. The team in general has had a dip in form over the past month, but I've a feeling that last night would have brought back the confidence and I can't see Fergiscum lining 11 behind the ball like West Brom and Sunderland.

I think Dzeko is made for Sundays game, the scum defence is fragile and Dzeko has a nice habit of doing the business against them.

Judge players by their performance, not the damn expression on their face. If you think Dzeko looked uninterested, wait til you see Mario's body language...

No idea if true because i cant be assed trawling through stats at this hour of the night.
Ive just read a comment on the Mail saying tonight's rags team cost the same as the City team put out against the scouse.

The wankers who accuse us of buying success make me piss.

If you bothered to read my post properly you would notice that I didn't mention the 'expression on his face' but his body language which suggested a player low on confidence not uninterested
