Can we still win the league?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Can we still win the league?

Postby PeterParker » Sun Jan 08, 2012 2:50 pm

Looking at this incredible situations, the decisions that the refs had against us in every away game since the 6-1 and after what happend today can we really take the league away from the Rags? Even though that David Bernstein is a known supporter of City?
Old Bacon face won't allow us to win the league in the retirement days so the question is, are we up for a war on the field and outside it?

Regardless of what some of the blind cunts on here say, we have had lots of ridiculous decisions against us.

Its really becoming a big problem and something has to be done about it.

Not having the Cup to worry about will do us no harm. A free Saturday at the end of the month means the lads can get their feet up for a bit.

I posted this in the match thread at the low point of half time:

However, the sending off at Chelsea, the Silva nailed on penalty at Chelsea, the goal ruled out at West Brom, the offside at Sunderland, the sending off against Liverpool, now this ridiculous decison on Kompany. Football is totally bent.

The pattern is very clear. It's a list of poor decision, each one of which has gone against us. Incredible, ie not at all credible. It's bent.

You missed the handball by duncan edwards but I agree completely.

Problem is, as we refuse to go away it is only going to get worse.

And may i add, the reaction that Bacon face had after Toon got a penalty at that 1-1, in november. Since then they got every decision their way, including the horrible performance of Webb last week.

Spot on, the list of unbelievably poor decisions from refs is growing at an alarming rate, to a level that it does appear intentional.

However taking everything bad into account, we STILL sit top of the league and are in the semi of the carling cup.

Not bad considering the rub of the green we have gotten this season.

I just checked the table and the fixture lists and we are still clear favourites. Not sure who will be second to us though. Scum look pretty poor at the moment and their new signing Foy has a dodgy haircut and cannot play every week. Sch*les coming out of retirement is a sign of desperation. Just waiting for them to wheel out Bobby Charlton for their next game...

Yaya missing is huge. I thought NDJ, 2nd half, began to show his old self. He can do the holding job whilsyt we battle through January. He was as good as anyone at City last season, he can be again. He's class.

Kompany will be back in, that card has to be rescinded. I am confident it will be. If not, I just don't know. Micah did nothing wrong today and could do a job for 4 games. Savic is dodgier. Did nothing wrong though, looked quite composed in the frenzy of that 2nd half.

I am quite certain that Mancini aqnd the team are well aware that to win the League, we have tobeatthe system.
The smile at Kompany's red card said so much.

Win the League...WITHOUT A SHADOW IF A DOUBT...After todays showing I can't see that shower of red shite, even with their supporting cast of referees and media, getting anywhere near us.....AND TAGGART AND HIS SHOWER OF SHITE KNOW IT.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

I would be amazed if the red card is rescinded whatever all City fans think about it.We need to take great heart from todays game and make sure we win away from home at Wigan. It will be our first away win for ages and is a massive massive game.

Not saying the appeal is frivolous but having listened to all the chat about it since (that includes idiots as well as sensible people) my conclusion is that we won't win the appeal.I think we should be fear the worst and it will be a 4 game ban.

I think e need to start questioning the refs. We only lose with bad decisions.

If that proves to be the case I give up. I´ll start watching fuclin basketball. Corrupt to the core if that isn´t rescinded - no arguments - none!!
