Can some clarify the rules here for me? If today's match winner Mr Foy gets to the final and wins the Cup, will he be allowed up the Wembley steps to collect the trophy?
How the fuck did Shrek get the MOM award? Foy was quite clearly the match winner and their best player by an absolute mile.

We may have lost the game by the scoreline but in every other department and for the longer term in our developent as a team and a squad we were undoubted winners.
Unlike the rags, we didn't cave in and tactically Mancini deserves every credit for the his tactics. Three at the back, two wing backs to give us an outlet and release us going forward. Aguerro was fuckin immense up front and only a shade behind Foy as the best player on the park....and our ten man reserve side won the 2nd half 2-0, unlike the rags who just collapsed under similar pressure.

City were awesome, patient and kept their shape and I think, despite all their possession in our half, the rags created fewer chances than we did in the 2nd half.

The World thought we would fall apart...HOW FUCKING WRONG THEY WERE.

HATE watching games on ITV, best thing about going out today is I won't have to suffer it again this season! (I hope)

Man utd at home with 10 men for 40 mins lose 6-1
City at home with 10 men for 80 mins bring it bac to 3-2

Shows how far we have come

Ummm...errrr.....ummmm....

You think someone getting paid to speak on TV could actually speak! Sounds like a nervous kid doing a speech in front of a class. On top of that Mr. Chiles has negative charisma and 0 personality

Not a lot, but was obviously a bit pissed off. To say the least.

he refused to talk about the ref or the red card

A little odd. Even Vinnie didn't say nothing when he was sent off. If i were them i would had been all over the news, but that's why i am not a manager.

So it fucks up our entire season due to the African Cup timing??

Who can come in and centre back? Not Richards.

Savic. Onouha isn't on the Premiership list.

I think Bob must put Hargreaves in today.

You keep saying that but it isn't correct

MAN CITY: Richards, Hart, Taylor, Lescott, Barry, Milner, A Johnson, Clichy, Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Kompany, K Toure, Kolarov, De Jong, Y Toure, Silva, Nasri, Dzeko, Tevez, Aguero, Onuoha, Bridge, Nielsen, Hargreaves.

24 players, 1 vacancy. You cannot leave players out if they are still under contract and the list isn't full so we had to include Bridge and Onuoha whether we wanted to or not. Hargreaves missed out on the Champs league squad as 2 under 21 non-PL list players were included.

Couldn't agree more. In the face of terrible odds we almost pulled off the impossible and showed the spirit that will undoubtedly deliver us the title. Great strides forward to winning the war!!

If i recall in the last days of august, Onouha and Bridge were off the list replaced by some young fellas, because of the new rule that FA had. There were discussion about Wayne not doing nothing and still got paid.
Seems i was wrong. Cheers, for the info .

Went to a restaurant to watch the second half as being in public meant I had to try and calm down. Also it is much nearer the hospital if I advanced to a full scale coronary as seemed likely by half time...

Great post John. I confess to thinking that it was a total didsater at half-time, but had to carry on watching, despite saying I wouldn't. City were fantastic in the 2nd half, Mancini made a masterful tactical change, I totally accept that.

The Rags have a real issue too. Their goalkeepers are pap. Their new lad, Foy, he's a real game-changer though. How much did he cost?

Normally during a match about half a dozen times I think "gees, we got away with that one" in regard to refereeing decisions. Today I counted three. The rest of the time I was absolutely up in arms over the one-sidedness of the decisions. An absolute fucking disgrace. I've listened a lot to the phone in's this season and had all manner of callers from different clubs whingeing about referees and bad decisions. Apart from the Everton v Dippers game I've thought they were sore losers. Today if I was living in England I'd be on that phone doing all I can to vent my frustrations.

Despite all this, I was disappointed with our mentality after the red card. Bad things are going to happen in matches and we need to be mentally strong to cope with this. In the second half we got it back together again and you wouldn't have known we were a man down.

Very proud of the lads and as I said to one of our fellow blues wasting his breath arguing with a rag after the match " they'll only lose to Crystal Palace next round anyway." They were pretty shit considering they were up against 10.

de Jong please please please leave now. Used to be one of my favs for his never say die attitude. Would rather have mad Zab in his place if Micah is fit and there was a straight choice between de Jong and Zab, even though its not Zab's natural position.

I'll never forgive him for backing out of that challenge!

Sergio Aguero is a grown-ass man.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Agree that the double whammy of the goal and skipper being sent off knocked us sideways and we lost our focus. Normal under the circumstances as it all happened so quick.
Boy did we redress things 2nd half - we made them look ordinary. Another 10 mins and we could have won it as they´d gone completely

Anyone think Mancini should've made the change earlier? Bring on at least one defender after the second goal at the latest.

I thought it was reasonable to sub off Silva to protect him for the other competitions, but Nasri was so gutless, I'm not so sure anymore.

Better 2nd half but a big part of me thinks he should have been giving Shrek a few crunchers and digs and wound the cnut up. Rooney got off lightly today . Gaz would have nailed the dispicable little runt

he really made me happy today. Carlitos-who?

If we can get our other two strikers fit we'll be in good shape i think.

Good we could rest Silva, but i wonder what if Mancini had made that tactical change he made at HT right after the sending off? I know, i know...if my auntie had balls, etc.

cheers
