On the mind games side, it's a pretty fantastic gamble. Just hope he gets absolutely nothing out of Nigel and co today.

Here's a question for those in the know.

How come nobody knew that Scholes had re-signed for the Rags even though they have to register an individual for the FA Cup prior to the event; and you can't register over the weekend?

It's laughable at how desperate they are.

Maybe he wasnt properly registered and they will get thrown out?

Credit to him though for getting an assist for our 2nd goal.

Nice one Dougy. I'm wondering because last year when we got Dzeko, I think, it was said that he couldn't play because he wasn't registered approximately 5 days before. That leads me to think that Scholes must've been registered for at least this period but somehow the registration failed to make it to any media outlets which, for me, I've never heard of. I'm pretty sure that registrations are made public so why wasn't Scholes?

I'm not grasping at straws or believe that he wasn't registered correctly but I find it quite strange that we only found out about it 1 hour before kick-off.

Maybe he has been registered all season.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Was just about to post the same thing.

Perhaps he was always included in the 25-man squad but the media didn't include him on any list as he had 'retired'.

Still seems strange not one journalist picked up on it though.

He may have been but if that was the case he surely would've been registered as part of their 25 man squad, or don't they have to because he is home-grown?

My question is more related to how nobody found out, it must've been kept well under wraps, by the FA as well.
