nah it was bollox

Which begs the question; If a ref is one sided, is he corrupt?

You can accept one or two horrendous decisions a season, but its every fucking week now.
Pretty sure that most are not corrupt or anything, they are just incompetent.
I dont know what is worse.

But Chris Foy is a fully paid professional referee, he's paid to get things right. If that had happened in a game you were officiating, would you have sent the player off, and, what was your take on the whole incident - carries on with play until a player protests?

Completely agree with you Beefy, given the amount of time that these guys get to train etc - its amazing how poor they can be.
If I sent somebody off for a tackle like that it would be a 4v4 match by the end of the game. For a yellow it has to be 'reckless' for a sending off it is classed as 'excessive force' . Kompanys were neither - had no intention of injurying the player and got 100% of the ball.
I can half see where he is coming from as technically he did go slightly two footed, but the ref has to have a brain and use common sense.
Very odd that the ref seems to produce a red only when Rooney starts to protest. If a referee isnt decisive and needs confirmation of what he thinks he sees, then he shouldnt be refeering.
