can anybody remember if im correct
if scholes was sent off against us in the semi final and gets a 3 match ban with only 2 games left in the season how can he play today?
he retired at the end of the season so by rights he has 1 match ban still ?

Yep, the semi-final was on 16 April, scholes didn't 'retire' until 31 May.

Does anybody else thinks him coming out of retirement smacks of desperation?

Absolutely, I joked with my lad that we got Sun Jihai back a week too early, we could have brought him on at the same time as the ginger one

Was the Ginger Cunt registered before 12:30 on Friday ? If not then surely he wasn't eligible to play .

Well if I were Anderson, I'd be wondering if i had a future at the club.

But as I'm not....I won't give it the time of fucking day

I mentioned this in the ground today, someone said he was registered this morning inside the ground, it'd be fucking funny if they got thrown out for playing a ringer

Id imagine they would have kept him registered, for time of emergency with the reserves (injury/illness etc)

At then end of the day, he didn't have an impact other than for us.

Me thinks we need irrefutable proof. Time for someone to dig. How come no-one knew or got wind of it. Couldn´t give a toss about the cup coz I´m sure as hell happy we don´t have another trip to Klanfield on the schedule, but something fishy gone on here

(h) In all Rounds of the Competition a player shall be a “registered player” of his Club under the Rules of the Competition.

(i) (i) A “registered player” is one who is either, in the case of a player under written contract, registered with The Association or, in the case of a player without a written contract, registered with a League in which his Club competes in the current season. Any such registration must have been received and accepted by The Association or League by 12 noon on the Friday previous to the date fixed for playing the Round, and the registration must be continuous through to the date of the match. .

It does seem a bit questionable, as a opposition manager you assess your opponents squad and work out a plan to deal with every eventuality. Sometimes clubs make signings the day before games and you have to make last minute tweaks to your plans, but an hour before kick off.Hardly seems Good Form!!!!!!!
As said the only thing he did was gift us the 2nd Goal, it would be nice to think it was possible they have fucked up and get thrown out!!!!

It does look rather desperate that they let him comeback but I think he went to soon. He's clearly not the player he was ten years ago but if managed correctly through a season he would still deliver what a 5/6 million panick buy would deliver.

I think Cleverley is a good prospect and buying a top class player in the short term will stunt his growth. So it alot of ways it would sense.

If we had a injury crisis Vieira had kept himself sharp, I wouldnt have a problem with him coming back to help out. He was well past his best but I always felt assured when he came off the bench in the last ten minutes to defend a tight lead. I'll use the FA Cup final when Stoke where throwing the kitchen sink at us in the last ten minutes. When Vieira came on I was convinced there would be no sloppy mistakes.

Some times a good leader is required, not a good player.

When we heard Anderson's name, we thought perhaps it was Viv.
