scholes

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

It was just so obvious when he came on that he would have praise heaped on him for his magical passing and control of the game even though it was to a situation where City had dropped off allowing them to pass the ball almost without challenge most of the time. He barely passed the ball forward and a few times played really poor passes that were close to being intercepted and of course one was that we scored from.

No matter though but it will put him in contention for Player of the Year and Sports Personality as well.

I think Cleverley is a good prospect and buying a top class player in the short term will stunt his growth. So it alot of ways it would sense.

If we had a injury crisis Vieira had kept himself sharp, I wouldnt have a problem with him coming back to help out. He was well past his best but I always felt assured when he came off the bench in the last ten minutes to defend a tight lead. I'll use the FA Cup final when Stoke where throwing the kitchen sink at us in the last ten minutes. When Vieira came on I was convinced there would be no sloppy mistakes.

Some times a good leader is required, not a good player.

Hhhhhm.

And Curle would be on a free now after being given the boot by QPR, good call.

Fuck when they signed Scholes....the real question is when was Chris Foy registered to turn out for the rags?...and if not, we have a fucking strong case.

...and just so you know, I am still fucking wound up to fuck about Foy and his corrupt performance...I swear that there must have been a nice brown envelope waiting for him.

It's a good job Barton wasn't playing in those days - stubbing a cigar out anywhere near that hair-sprayed barnet would have resulted in half the City burning down.

i think its great scholes is back.........now they will think that their central midfield problem is sorted, and they wont sign a decent player. him and giggs are too old, long may it last.

Thats where we went wrong!!!
At around that time football agents were fairly new, maybe we went to Stock Aitkin Watermam assuming they were a football agency. We were thinking we were negotiating for a footballer and we got him instead!!!

I can see why we had a hole in the ozone layer in the 80's with some of these hairdos.

Why are the press wanking over Scholes?

I saw about 50 side ways/ backwards passes, one loss of possession leading to our goal, and Scholes basically not marked at all because they had the extra man and the space in mid field when we switched to counter attacking.
