Big nige.

Was really hoping for him to shine yesterday. Even more so after the shit red card.

In my opinion he was one of the worst players we had out there. Not just match sharpness either, he ducked out the way for wellbecks goal. Really disappointed with him. The more I see of him
Now the more I think we've outgrown him.

I know where you're coming from, but I wouldn't want to see us sell him. Need him in the squad. Prob not good enough to play against your Uniteds, Chelseas and Arsenals. But should a Toure get injured here, a Barry get banned there, don't know who else I'd want.

Yeah I thought he was ok as well ... it's funny hearing seasoned world cup final player who don the City shirt getting thought of as not good enough for us now ... bizzare

Thought he was decent. Can understand criticism of him for Kermit's goal, but overall, I thought he put a very worthy shift in. He's not yet had much chance to counter the imo rather grandiose theories that we have evolved to a stage where we have evolved to a level beyond his capabilities. And on today's evidence, for me, he is still integral.

I just don't see what he offers. He clearly doesn't help the attack. You could say he slows it down, but at best he doesn't help it.

If he's not offering any attack he really needs to make us better defensively and this season he hasnt. I'm not saying sell now, but it's worrying that with a 1 dimensional enforcer we don't concede less goals. Obviously yesterday was tough being down to 10, but we seem to concede whenever he plays. I'm not blaming him for the goals, but if they're not cut out I just think its a bit pointless playing him.

I know it sounds like I'm slagging him off, I genuinely like the guy. Just not sure what he offers at the moment.

It's not that he's not good enough for us...it's just that maybe he doesn't fit into the system that we play now....which is entirely plausible.

Was the first man on the team sheet after Hart in a match against the "Top 4" last season. Under this system, without regular football his weaknesses are on display. i don't think it's over for him at City tho...im hopeful.

Like fuck was he any good....he bottled it for their goal..disgusting that was ,also cannot remember him actually dispossessing a forward one on one.He slows play down continually, you can guarantee whenever a winger passes the ball to him he will 90% of the time pass it backwards or just wait until the opposing team has re formed.

He can fuck off in the summer for a more attack minded replacement.

Waste of time NDJ being in the penalty area..he is totally ineffective....totally.

Last season when defence was our main strategy, Nige was immense. All he was being asked to do was defend the defenders and break up opposition play. When doing that, there are very few better.

This season, we are defending much higher up the pitch and regaining possession in those higher areas means we are in attacking mode almost immediately. It is necessary to getthe ball quickly to the likes of Silva, Aguerro or Ballo. It is that area of play which Nige is weak at and thus our hero has become a tactical liability.

Sadly,he must/will be replaced.

He fuckign does need to be replaced...we will always be an attacking team therefore we need an attacking minded replacement.

It was said by many three years ago when he signed that he'd have to learn to adapt his game to something that wasn't all-out defence.

Three years on and he hasn't really made a great deal of progress, has he?

A few years ago, I remember posting that; as City fans who were loyal to those who had served us well. we were going to have to get used to losing our heroes who had served us well at the level we were at.

That proccess is still ongoing as we continue to build and rise towards the top. I think we may be suprised at how many in our present team wll disapear quicker than we ever thought they would,as they are replaced by even better players.

Sadly, as much as I love the little bull terrier, his lack of accurate creative passing ability is a liability. Mancini knows how he wants to play and he is a perfectionist. Nige will be replaced at some point by a player (don't know who) who will have the ability to break up play and then feed our creative front runners. Gaz Baz has stepped up to the mark and he may develop even further into that role.

Apart from his limitations, I don't think he's even playing his game all that well at the moment.

Kolo looked way off earlier in the season, his form picked up.
