I have always loved watching and following England since I was a boy and can remember filling in my chart when Germany knocked us out in 1970 then going to bed crying my eyes out . luckily i have no reason to even feel remotely connected to the english national team ... i can hope our players do well and cover themselves in glory when they play internationals, or better yet, just aren't selected and carry on for city!

i can wholeheartedly agree that rooney is detestable, though.
