Listening to baconface after the match tells me they had already been in Foy's ear.Bacon he(Kompany)has made a few tackles like that already this season.Draw your own conclusions but i reckon that's why Rooney was right in Foy's face immediately after the tackle.

The second part is me too but I actually find talking about it somewhat therapeutic, especially as you lot to a man comfirmed exactly what I was thinking.

It wasn't even a foul. It wasn't even nearly a foul.

Its a tackle that should have been given a round of applause.

A few years ago people would have been cheering that on, a City captain showing some fighting balls.

The ref can apply the letter of the law if he wants, and prove why it should have been a red, but, everyone else in the world knows that in the situation, and the moment, it should not have been a red. In any other game it would not have been a red.

Fuck Foy for potentially fucking up our season.

Its a sad day when no contact at all is made in a sport and its deemed to be dangerous play.

Yeah and if suarez was black he wouldn't have hurt evra's feelings.

This is the problem.

Foy has interpreted the rules incorrectly (but will probably be backed up if he insists he is correct) but a bigger problem is the general 'football family' being a bunch of cheese eating, lilly livered, poncing, slimeballs who are happy to turn football into fucking netball.

Well, he has tried. Unfortunately for him and the munichs we are just too fucking good to disappear. It will need many, many more similar calls to fuck up our season. They may well come - sadly I am expecting more of the same as we get nearer the crunch of the season - but there will be a serious response from the Club at some stage.

I am surprised some Blue in the ground didn't lose it, run on the pitch and rip chris fucking foy's face off.

Having arrived home from the match late last night with flights delayed, i finally got to see the critical parts of the game I recorded the whole shebang).

Nothing has changed in my mind. The tackle was a fair tackle , absolutely nothing wrong with it.

In my opinion the game in England is corrupt. Foy's display yesterday sums up what we have witnessed for many seasons now and even more so this year. Very strange decisions being made.

Foy got many, many things wrong yesterday, but he is not the only one. It impacted against us in a bigger way than just losing the game. Now Liverpool will think they can have a go at us, which they will. Watch Gerrard try and work the referee too.

You can't even plan for it. Foy's decision making defies all logic. It was so bad that after they had scored the third goal, city defenders were worried about making any tackle, until half time.

I'm not even going to consider discussing intent , two feet or the lack of clarity in the rules because it wasn't even a foul, it was a fair tackle.

Rooney stoops to new lows with his behaviour. Ferguson should be reported to the FA for his after match comments.
United are in a mess, Paul Scholes back from retirement ! What on earth is that for ? What signal does that sent to the world of football and financiers ? United really have no money.

As far as Kompany's red card. I think we should appeal the card. So what if we get an extra game on top. Move Micah to the centre and Savic/ Zabs will be ok on the right.

Hart, Barry, Clichy, Dzeko, Ballo should be back for wedneday.

I'm really proud of the team after that performance. We were desperately unlucky not to get a third at the end

Also, one final point. There were six subs yesterday, also there were many stoppages and one deliberate stop when Savic
needed treatment, granted that we made a sub at halftime, I found the decision to give only 3 minutes extra time very strange.
Again, having seen so many weird refereeing decisions this season so far, I can only conclude there is some level of
corruption in the game. It simply cannot be that the results of games hang on the referees and not the teams.

I think that until another official who has immediate access to both the main ref and camera feeds there are going to be mistakes like yesterday.

It didn't look like a foul to anybody in the ground, including most Utd players. Just shite reffing. If it was shown to a 4th official or video panel, under pressure from Ferguson, the video refs would interpret it as a red card because they know that otherwise, their names would be all over the newspapers, branded as incompetent or biased.

I doubt very much if what I am suggesting is the answer it's just my opinion that something has to change.

I'm just glad that this decision has come in the cup, as it only harms our league situation as a ban rather than 3 points. I made the point in another thread that this shit doesn't 'even out' as some suggest; it just helps the usual suspects to win trophies, year in, year out, decade after decade. When the games get bigger, the refs get shitter & only about one in ten times does it work against rags or Liverpool etc & that usually happens when one plays the other & the ref doesn't know which way to turn.

The rest of us just get shit on & it mounts up: a suspension in one game then a dodgy pen then pressure bringing another suspension, weakened team, dodgy pens, etc etc.

How many times in the history of watching City, can we remember a terrible reffing decision costing rags or Liverpool when they've played us ? What about the other way around ?

I agree with you but I'm just not sure how it could be done without people like Ferguson influencing/intimidating the video panels like they do the refs.

Probably.

I'm probably being controversial but I'm glad we're not playing Liverpool in the FA Cup. Not just because of potential tiredness or injuries but because, as above, every time you play one of those fucking teams, you are at the mercy of the officials. How many players have we had sent off v Liverpool just in recent years ? How many have been nailed on red cards ?

These games v scouse & rags have been worrying me more than anything because of the damage to our PL challenge. Imo, we should attack like fuck on Wed then if we get a few goals, they may throw in the towel for the Anfield game in order to save themselves for Utd. If we were playing them twice, it would lead to more suspensions.

Another thing that is bugging the shit out of me is why the likes of baconface is allowed over to speak with any official before the game is played. And why he is seen to be patting the ref on the back on the way down the tunnel?!

If shit like that, which is there for the world to see, along with a shocking decision sandwiched in the middle, is not bringing the game into disripute then I don't know what is.

A manager should NEVER be allowed talk to a referee, especially before the game.

I think it should be stopped & the only way TV replays could work is if all club officials are banned from discussing refs decisions, full stop.

The ridiculous thing is that a manager can't speak ABOUT a ref before a match because he could be seen to be influencing him.

But he can talk to him, and in a clear animated fashion with pointed fingers, right before kick off?

Its fucked. Completely fucked and I can't understand why it hasn't been fully investigated.

I wish I could mate but I've been basically shaking in anger eversince the decision. I don't want to talk about it. Try to get some work done and shit.

Just have to say that we were anally rape-murdered. I've seen all sorts of fucking things going rags way but that just took the fucking piss. Let's make this clear once and for all, Foy was fucking bought. After 1-6 and their recent form, they couldn't afford to tke another beating and in the end decided to just do it the easy way and buy the referee.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'm still fuming as well, so I don't want to watch the incident again. I was in the pub watching the match with a red and a rovers fan. Red said it was a sending off so I had to walk out of the pub and watch the rest at home. Was scared that I'd end up bottling my own mate.

This type of shit makes me want to stop watching football full stop.

On a side note, I'm gonna go to the gym in a bit sporting my City shirt (or jersey if you're from America). If any munich slag says anything to me I'm gonna throw the 2kg dumbell that I'm doing curls with straight at um!!
