Everyone we will want will cost double so why bother?

He's slowly impressing me, his last few performances have been pretty good, i think his confidence is slowly growing

imo IF we are going to sign a replacement it imho should be such a quality player who is
A) immediately 1st or 2nd choice CB even with all our CBs available
B) a very promising young CB who is supposed to be one of the very best in the future (but we already have just bought Savic who Mancini probably feels has the ability so why choose this route?)
C) a very experienced CB who can do the job immediately but accepts that when everyone is fit he will be just a squad player (no idea who that would be?)

so that would rule out likes of Hangeland, Cahill, Samba for me... decent players but I'd rather have Kompany & Joleon

I would have thought that Bob would already have signed a CB if we were getting one. It's this period right now where we would need him most.

ACON has got a lot to answer for, taking away key players at one of the toughest times of the season plus locked up is a shit song.

It's got to be Option A and, in spite of me becoming tiresome on this subject, buy Neven Subotic a.s.a.p..

There was a school of thought we were short anyway with Kolo going to Africa.
Not sure who we should go for, Samba is an experienced Prem player who could hit the ground running.
Any foreign player would need time which we don't have to adjust.

Any other thoughts?

Why not use the players that are available and already in the squad.
What is it with this mentality of buy buy buy ... I see on these forums the names of many players that a few months again was buy buy buy... now many are saying of the same players sell sell sell...

Actually Subotic would be both options A) and B).
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Mentioned him a while back in another thread but was told his form wasnt up to much. Does anyone follow the BL and know how he's doing?? He was great first time around. Would be ideal to have against Carroll on Wed.

Daniela is doing alright, even pushing Boateng out to RB where he looks his usual dodgy self. Turns slower than Samba though, but always a threat at corners & free kicks, so that's a plus. Getting on a bit as well, 34 in a month.

Hey Realistic Mate...
Please don't let our City fans put you off staying on here...You are hilarious Mate...a bit thick but hilarious. We always like to have a pet rags to play with, hope you stay but no doubt, like your mates, you'll probably walk out of the debate before the end.

Having debated the quality of Kompany's tackle...He has a big one, apparently too big for the rags to take, we moved onto buying new players. That's what teams do when they are still strengthening the squad.
So to keep you up to speed; To outsiders, City seem to have travelled a long way in a couple of years...to the top of the Prem. But for blue insiders, we are only in the very beginnings of our evolvement. What you see at City now is only a temporary phase and our ultimate plan is to rule the football World.
Overtaking the rags (which we did and have) was quite simple and achieved with ease...The rags are really not our rivals when you consider that a 10 man \City reserve team can take them on. City have moved on.

That's that sorted out then.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

He was a centre back as he came up, but that actually wasn't my point. He could be brought in and Micah can slide into the middle. So I am just saying it would solve an issue moving him in somewhere if need be.

I second Nedum too. He was like Micah's twin under Hughes. I'm sure he can do the job. What's up with Mancini for not letting him play, anyway? Anyone knows? Is it personal?
