No, this wasn't a blessing in disguise. That's the kind of shit rags come out with. This was corruption without disguise.
I think we'll win the league, but I think we could have won both.

No Brainer.

Let's not forget the Europa, eh. ;)

Europa, I just dont give a shit about, it will only end in tired players and a loss to some shitty Russian team. Unless you win the Europa, its pointless. I don't think we can win it.
The Premier League is what its all about. On the final day we need to ATLEAST be in contention.

We knew our best team was better thsan theirs, now we know a ten man City reserve team can beat them. Great for our confidence. Importantly, the rags know it too and that knowledge will be disastrous for their confidence.
Considering their desperation for money and their need for marketting, the World will also be aware and Sunday will have not have done their cause much good.
I do worry about winning too many trophies and how the high cost of metal polish to keep them nice and shiny will affct our balance sheet with regard to the Fair Play regulations.

quarter final day is usually when premier league fixtures take place as well, if we can put pressure on them by winning our games
we could be pts clear and they play catch up.
their not guaranteed to win if they beat scouse arsenal chelsea spurs newcastle etc are still in it.Original Dub wrote:feedthegreek wrote:now that the draw as been made who do you want to win normally id say liverpool but wouldnt mind if scum get through this one

Nah, bollox - I want the cunts knocked out by Liverpool.
I hate Liverpool, but if they beat the rags, then Sunday's result disappears. Knocking your rivals out of the cup is only significant and historic if its on the way to winning the competition. There's not much gloating to be had when both teams are out.
Also, all they have left is the league and we'll take that away from them.
I hope they win nothing. Its exactly what they deserve.
