Just Watched The Sending Off Again...

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

After watching it in different angles, I am sure it was definitely not a red.

1. He was coming at the side, in a sweep motion, not a direct lunge at Nani.
2. His intention was seen clear, playing the ball, not hurting the player, and he did get the ball, not the player.
3. He didn't use excessive force, just a regular force for a regular tackle.

In my opinion, it was a perfect tackle, not even a yellow. If this tackle came from a legend like Maldini or Baresi, everyone would praise this tackle as god's gift. Even Nani didn't seem to think it was a foul. I dream that Nani would come out and show an act of a gentleman saying that tackle was not a red.

We can watch it as often as we like the end result will be the same and that's a 4 match ban.Although probably the majority believe it was a mistake the influential ones think it was correct.

Tunnel cam could be interesting

Anyone else get the feeling that 'tunnelcam' will be suspended for this match?

Heaven forbid if England need to rely on Carrick in the Euros. Apart from his sly kicks from behind which i noticed today
watching the replay, at the game yesterday , I thought he was the Invisible man. Damn shame we couldn't get that equaliser towards the end. What with all the difficult games this month, I would have loved to go over to trafford and tonk them again.

They had it up for about an hour, then it went private (with the MCFC facebook post deleted) before I had a chance to watch it. Very interesting

Absolutely spot on. There was rubbish this morning that if Nani hadn't jumped out of the way he'd have wiped him out, even though he wouldn't. It was a fantastic tackle and you'll see similar on MOTD that don't even get a foul.

And he'll get a four game ban for it.

Fair play Nicky ... now about this tattoo you have ...

Former United midfielder Nicky Butt disagreed about the sending off.
"When I first saw it, I thought it was a great tackle," Butt told BBC Radio 5 live. "I think it's the law that's wrong, not the referee. He [Kompany] clearly got the ball and didn't try to hurt the lad."

I am afraid I cannot agree with you my fellow footy fans..... Both feet off the ground and studs showing.... As much as it hurts some of you I am afraid that Mr Foy got it right.

You're such a wank poster. Not only a rag, but you say the same thing in every damn post. No imagination at all.

You care of offer some evidence that what you're saying isn't a crock o shit (picture, video, expert opinion...) or are you just a broken record? You've manage to become extremely boring before you even hit 20 posts, which is the most telling fact that you're a rag. Just keep spewing the same ol' shit

Why do you presume that I am a Manchester United supporter just on the basis that I thought it was a two footed tackle..
Rather quite a bizarre assumption do you not think.

Actually thats the most realistic assumption that one could have. You refuse to answer anyone's question, provide any evidence of your shit opinion, highlight everything in red, and refuse to say what team you support (always using the term "fellow football fan").

If you go on an opposition's board at least try and be clever. This is like watching a 5 yr old autistic kid try to make an argument.

Then at 8.15 , nani slaps a city player in the face. In the second half Kun gets a slap in the face from Evra too ( 85.06) . All arms nani, a liitle moaning, cheating git.

Just watched it again...
Its not even a foul. Kompany tackles the ball with one foot, and its the side of his foot. This is what Nani hurdles.
His left foot is forward but not used in the tackle.
From the referees angle you can understand why he has given the red card becasue he doesnt get the 5 different angles that we see in replays. But it is not a red card tackle.
Big game, Big Decision, wrong call, shame...

The reason for highlighting in RED is because you must admit it stands out from the rest...
If you look at my profile it says what team I support.

Thank you Goat... Now we are singing from the same hymn sheet.... As you rightly say the ref saw Kompany lunge at Nani with both feet off the ground and studs up. Had he not tackled like this he would not have got a red card.
