Hi and Good morning Nijinsky... I see by your user name you are either a lover of racehorses... the sport of kings.. or a lover of the Russian Ballet... an art form of true beauty....
However I must say that neither of these to options reflect the deep rooted anger that seems to be burning inside you.
The hate and anger that emanates from your post can only come from someone with childhood problems that have been allowed to manifest into the hate we witness in your post.

All I have said in this thread is that I personally thought it was a fair red... others think different. that is the purpose of a forum ..It allows people to express their own opinions. However it would seem that you have not grasped the idea of how to debate. Your answer , it would appear is to use vile words in an attempt to mask over your deep rooted problems.

Being realistic about it mate it is you that has not grasped the idea of how to debate. A number of people have put arguments forward against yours but you keep ignoring them and only responding to those that abuse you.

The idea of a debate is to discuss both sides of an argument, you refuse to do this. Saying this is my opinion and I'm right is not debating, it's akin to a child sticking their fingers in their ears and saying I can't hear you.

Point of Note: It wasn't a mis-timed tackle as this would infer that he actually touched/hit/smashed/broke/maimed/killed the Tranny. Is that what happened?

I still do not understand why those that are in denial cannot see this from Mr Foys view.

From where he was at the point of the tackle he will see Kompanys body leave the ground...he will see both feet off the ground.. he will see studs up. So given all those elements of the tackle he had no option but to issue a red... At that moment in time...
So at the time it would have been seen to warrant a red...So Mr Foy is NOT at fault... Kompany is at fault for committing to such a potentially dangerous tackle. He and he alone is responsible for his actions on the field.

So how would you respond to that?

First up to make a sliding challenge both feet have to come off the ground. Secondly it is only deemed serious foul play and worthy of a red if the challenge is deemed careless, reckless and endangering the opponent. My take on the tackle is that he went in with one foot, no studs showing initially, his second foot came off the ground but he took care to keep that foot wide so as to not endanger the opponent, he was in full control of the challenge which makes it not reckless. He took the ball cleanly with the instep of his right foot, at this point he was by Nani and then his feet came together and the studs showed as he gained control of the ball.

Have you ever played football?

That Nani was nowhere near neither Kompany nor the ball when the tackle was made. How could he be in danger. He was that far away he avoided any trouble.

Roberto Mancini was the man who brought us our first trophy in 35 years. He was the man that brought us our first league title in 44 years. He brought us one of the greatest moments of our lives. He masterminded a 6-1 win at Old Trafford, and a Wembley win over United. He challenged Ferguson, he argued with him on the touchline, he brought success, and he punched the air in delight with the rest of us at the madness of it all. He had style, panache and a winning smile. All those memories he gave us will never be forgotten, in a wonderful period in this club’s long history.
And I swear, we’ll never see anything like it again.

Studs look down to me there alex. What's the point in trying to prove it to him when he's not here to debate it?

He joined a city forum because his team is in serious decline and he'll take a win any way he can get it.

And that's not a slagging off mr realistic rag, that is what's actually happening here.

Part of you knows that. Probably a big part of you. First comes the straw clutching, then comes the anger, then you will abandon that team and so will most of the other rags.

You don't know how to support a club when they need it and you never will because you are a glory hunter.

'lol' I suggest you actually look at the freeze frame image above, and try telling us how his studs are up? Desparate measures by a desparate fan clutching at straws when he knows his club is crashing and burning before his eyes. You have Uni cunt written all over you, even down to leaving the board while you attended a lecture yesterday afternoon. I bet you didn't even see the game on Sunday, just saw the score and thought you'd register to have a pop at us. Not even the most deluded RAG could try and claim any sort of a victory after that second half performance, so that tells me you didn't see it.

Good morning to you Dameerto..I trust you did not take a look at the position that Kompany found himself @ 1:27.
Thank goodness that Nani had the skills to jump out of the way of what could have been a career threatening challenge.
Did you also notice that Mr Kompany does not protest to Mr Foy... Why do you think that is?

I think you will find that the reason Nani has both feet off the ground is to enable him to jump out of the way of a potentially dangerous tackle.

Well Well Well it as gone all quiet after you looked at the clip @ 1:27..
Conclusive irrefutable visual proof that Mr Kompany goes in with both feet OFF THE GROUND AND STUDS UP...
I cannot understand the anger directed at me for pointing this out.. After all it was not me who made the tackle..
I think it is a case of "Don't shoot the messenger"
