Did Someone Spit on Kompany? And Other Incidents.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Did Someone Spit on Kompany? And Other Incidents.

Postby Beefymcfc » Tue Jan 10, 2012 8:41 am

I was watching the game last night and noticed that as Vince is walking away from the red card a huge greeny (whitey) fly's his way. He then seems to stop to turn around, possible as it hits, and then you see Phil Jones' (confirmed later when watching) boots walk across the shot. I could be wrong, have a look yourself - 15 seconds in.

PS. If you've got it recorded then it's 11 mins 18 secs in and much clearer.

It looks to me like something a lot nearer the camera than Vinny is. Birdshit perhaps. And it is going vertical. For me there is no way that is a spit, mate, unless Peter Crouch is on stilts with El Hadji Diouf on his shoulders.

I wondered why he went down during the match. Definitely an elbow. Intentional or not, but definitely an elbow.

Fair one, it may be the vid. On a much larger screen you can clearly see it's spit (you know, that spinning breaking up movement that it does) and isn't vertical, it comes as Jones passes.

If someone has recorded it, give us your view.

Yep. Looks like it to me. I am interested to note the lack of replays and various camera angles for that incident. I imagine they have those things.

If we made a song and dance about it, would something get done? Possibly. But I'd rather we didn't turn into the munes, to be absolutely honest.

Got any more, Beef?

I've got the day off mate so last night I decided to watch te game whilst finishing off some work, so kept the sound off. Strangely, when I was watching I seemed to note more things than usual, I don't know why. Anyway, I've tried to find various vid's of different incidents but can't. I especially wanted to find a few on Jones as he seemed to get away with numerous incidents such as the clear handball and perpetual fouling. If anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated.

One to note, for the Welbeck goal Rooney shoved Nige about 5 yards away from the position that the ball falls and then has to make up ground. No excuse I suppose, but something that led to the goal as NDJ was in the prefect position to clear.

It´s pure assault

Watch Evra ready himself - he knows what he´s about to do

There´s a blown up version somewhere (tou tube?) which shows it more clearly

I find that having the sound off really helps me focus on the game. That or the Japanese commentary, which is worth listening to purely as a study exercise.

I am still looking for a recording of the match (wasn't on telly here), so no chance I can help you. Sorry.

Enjoy your day off, mate.

So why wasn't the Evra/Micah incident re-shown at the time, they always show incidents of this kind. Also, why didn't anyone see it, it was right in front of the 4th official. The ref was looking at it, the linesman was looking at it and the crowd were going absolutely skits, surely that must've brought the incident to the ref's, and to ITVs, attention?

Sure will pal, but it's not going to be spent trawling YouTube. Things to do ;-)

Excellent point. Perhaps someone might be realistic enough to enlighten us on this matter.

surely if the club and they will have this evidence they can make a case of inconsistency by the ref, mancini as been quoted on 5live that hes very confident we can get the red overturned.

Who's being bitter and clutching at straws? The game has been lost but that doesn't mean we can't debate it, does it?

You sound like 2 little kids who've took their ball home.

Anyway, I also noticed how much of a turd Shrek is (no need to remind anybody there), and not because he ran to our fans in the South West corner kissing the badge and not because of him becoming the Man in Black to send Kompany off, but because he decides to covertly stick the 'Vs' up to the kids in the family stand. Don't believe me, fast forward to 3 mins 25.
