Panti can have the second game in Liverpool if we can get a good score on wednesday. If we reach the Final, we should
let Panti start the game and Hart finish it. So both get some enjoyment out of it.

Let's face it , getting to the final, means a lesser opponent and this is a way some of the players on the peripherie can
get some satisfaction on the run in to the title.

Its a nice idea but one i dont see happening. Imagine the backlash on Bob if Hart keeps a clean sheet and we conceed two with Panty in net or vice versa.

Granted we'll be playing Championship opposition, but a cup final is a cup final.

Joe should play from now on. Since when have we been good enough to toy with big cup matches?

I can still see Panty playing unfortunately - although i dont think hes bad at all, he's simply not Joe.

Well, lets face it... This is the final of the cup. Forget the other two.

Do you want a cup?

Then play your best team at least for the first leg. If we're three or four goals up, then rest some players if absolutely neccessary.

This is not rocket science. This is silverware.

Clap Clap, this is what i was saying in work to my mate (Liverpool fan). This is the final it's just over two legs, the best team has to start if we win this then we should go on to win the Cup.

Can I just point out to the blind that Panty DID DO SOMETHING WRONG against the scum....he kicked the fucking ball under no pressure whatsoever straight to a scum player and then they eventually scored from it............can you please STOP saying he did nothing wrong ffs !!!!!

HART in goal and he should have been in goal the other day...no such thing as resting a fuckign keeper in my book.

Joe does the same thing quite a lot though. It's just bad luck that Pants' mistake ended in a goal. I was pretty impressed with him I must say, but I recon the real test for him is against the Stokes rather than the rags.

No need to leave Joe out for this one though.

Pants is 6'8, he's feckin' huge. I don't know whether that makes him automatically better at handling crosses, corners & the like, but it's worth considering with Carroll leading their line. Maybe a way to protect Savic or whoever ends up taking Kompany's place.

And yes, he made a mistake, but then distribution isn't Hart's strong suit either.

Crosses are his weakness. To be fair, his romanian national gk rival has the same problems, and the u21 gk, who plays at Juve has the same issue. I only hope Massimo Battara solved this since he joined us.

I actually think that Mancini has sweetened Panty by starting him in the derby after probably telling him that Joe will start the Bin Dippers games. Harsh on Panty but we want our best players out there!

That is my thinking too, the FA Cup match was consolation, presumably he will play Europa too.

This is one of those statements constantly repeated, which I have never actually witnessed. Basically, every time I see Downing he has a few neat looking touches before passing it backwards or playing a "dangerous" looking cross to the other team's defenders.

Well this is my fault, i should had said that he is the best ball provider in the Scouse squad, not in the league. It was a list a month ago on talkshite, were he had the most assist for Dippers.

Two.

The starting 11 last week had scored 8 premier league goals between them. 8. Assume Bellamy will play some part in the two games as will Gerrard, but I can't believe we can't outscore them, whatever they do.

Well, they must've been talkin' shite then. Downing has zero assists so far this season & he scored his first goal the other day against Oldham.

IMO a keeper should very very rarely boot the ball up field..he should pass it to a defender 99% of the time. To be fair Jo does this nearly all the time now and has obviously been reading my posts.

When was the last time we won the League Cup again?

We are 2 steps away from another final and a chance of more silverware. Play the best team possible, while taking WIgan into considertion, and that team will have Joe in it.

Plus, I want to smash these Scum Dippers for 6. After that, Panti can have a run-out.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
