Now that this new rule has come into effect, in reality it should help our game. With our style of play there have been many a time that players have dived in on players like Silva, Yaya, Aguero et al and now that the panel have decided this form of the game is to be outlawed then when it happens all we have to do is site this non-incident.

Not much, but a City advantage nonetheless.

don't really care. Part of why I love football is the physical side of the game. Seems like the sport is catering more and more to having teams pass and dribble it around without allowing the defense to touch them. For the amount pro players get paid, I'll take 10 two footed tackles to the ankles every 3 days no problem

Savic will slot in nicely thank you very much....this little attempt at fucking us over will have ZERO EFFECT.

On a side note I wish serious injury to FOY and SHREK.

The FA are backing a ref who did not even apply the letter of the law as Vinny's tackle was Reckless at worst so yellow not red.Btw i thought it was a fuckin fantastic tackle.

But it won't be outlawed - watch the games this weekend and I bet you see much worse tackles which end up in just a free kick or a yellow. The ref got it wrong, but wouldn't admit it, so if other refs get it right, then this is just another mistake, to add to the many that the refs have made this season (not all against us, either). The proof he knew he'd got it wrong was when he denied the rags the penalty. I was at the other end of the ground and it was a blatant foul, I just wasn't sure if it was in the area. To wave that away was a joke.

You are obviously wrong. They have to apply the letter of the law which is now that if you go to ground it is an immediate red card, just like Vinnie and just like Giggs. Giggs did go, right?

It's a simple case of 'Ref, do you remember the Kompany red card from Foy?'. He has no choice as it is now precedence. If the ref doesn't it would make the whole set-up look either imcompetent or corrupt, and they wouldn't want to look like that would they!

Foy has messed up big style in the Stoke V Spurs game and then again by only giving Lampard a yellow against Wolves. Both were highlighted by the press and in a roundabout way have contributed to the VK red by putting him under pressure not to mess up again. He's basically shit himself because Shrek has run up to him screaming "2 footed". The FA have closed ranks, again probably because of his previous cock ups. I'd just love to hear him justify Lampards yellow vs VKs red.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

He will never ever be welcome at our club I dont care what talent he has. He is fast becoming one of the most hated footballers in England.

Exactly. I would even go so far as to say that in the unlikely event that we did end up signing him I would stop supporting the club for as long as he played for us. I had never hated a football player until this despicable cunt came along

Wise words Gilbert.
I seriously worry where we are going. I thought the Jay Spearing incident was a bad sign but if Vincent's tackle was a red card..well.
I don't think even it was a tackle...Nani the fanny wasn't even within a yard of the ball. It was more like an interception.

Thing with Nani is, if he thought it was anywhere near being a bad tackle he would roll around like a twat to influence the ref!!!
