Appeal rejected

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Oh how sweetly naive I have been...I promise that it will NOT happen again.

I like most others thought this incident would be considered on its merits by an independant unbiased tribunal, who would be unable to find any evidence of intent to injure or foul and be unable to identify any shred of excessive (or dangerous) force. Well, we were right. They probably never identified those things because they probably never even bothered to look at the incident. They didn't need to, it wasn't even on their agenda or in their thinking.
This decision was not a sporting one but a political one and City, Kompany, we fans and the natural justice of the game we love have all been sacrificed...FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME...FOR THE REF...or more accurately all referees.

The FA by this ruling have said...Mr Foy is a referee and the word of the referee (whether right or wrong) is final. This decision is for the protection of Mr Foy, quite plainly and simply....Justice never came into it.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

If your argument is correct, ( and i am not questioning it per se), then there is no need for appeals and tribunals, because the ref's decision is final.

Wrong. The reason for tribunals and appeals is to placate the masses ... Or at the very least give them the defense of " it went to appeals and it was rejected, sorry" this can be done even when they have no intention of giving it a fair review.

The reality is a bit worse than that ... Because as we have seen with some overturned red cards ( rodwell for example) , the FA can pick and choose which they will overturn or not based on their agenda. This is only necessary if a ref gets lost in a moment or forgets his orders for the match. Fatty Lampard wasn't carded ... And no foul was even considered for evra's deliberate elbow. If it had been, it would have been repealed. Same as if giggs had been carded.

Read what john wrote. If the ref's decision is final , nothing can be changed ! It is precisely because it isn't final that the appeals process is there in whatever shape or form it works and as we have seen , the appeals process is open ended and very subjective. The decision was made to make rules that are unclear and open to interpretation. The decision to allow referees to cover their arse in after match reports ( i saw the event and felt no action was necessary, etc). Makes the whole process, more complex, and thereby much more open to manipulation.

when you compare kompanys tackle with lampards leg breaker against wolves (yellow card) then you just have to think to yourself the FA are doing this to try and knock us out of the top 4 clubs brigade.

He will never ever be welcome at our club I dont care what talent he has. He is fast becoming one of the most hated footballers in England.

Never Welcome? Did you not see the cracking header he scored .. or the follow up to the saved pen while all the boys in blue just stood ball watching... Sometimes other teams and fans have to learn to accept world class talent.

Fuck all they could do really

It's fucking Foys fault..didn't really give them a choice

Why? It's the FA panel which decides about the appeal, is it not? If the FA wanted they could have rescinded the red card, or am I missing something?

Wow Mase are City now allowing fans to give instructions to the team... Nothing like a bit of fan participation.
Seriously though do you not think it a bit thuggish to want to injure another player?

I suggest you calm down a bit.. accept that the FA did the right thing in upholding the ban ... and move on.

Ask your friend how it felt when Manchester City arse raped his team 1-6 on their own turf?

Very quiet on that front...

Only because for reasons known only to themselves I was banned...
I had unfinished business...
All the hate I was getting for saying Kompany's tackle was a bad one ...well my opinion was proved to be correct.. The ban was upheld by the fine gentlemen of the FA.

Why would MASE show a photo of a plane crash in which one of the greatest MAN CITY players died in.. I think he is a disgrace to your forum and you should call for him to be banned.
