We did it for the united and Liverpool cup games, you had to have a minimum of 70 loyalty points to buy a ticket.

Turned up at Rovers on two occasions and got tickets on the door no problem. First time for six of us second time for four of us. Although both times in the away end. Dunno if that makes a difference.
