this could be turned into a positive.
That was the kind of win that you have to get sometimes to win the league.

clearly were not paying attention tonight. Savic was solid at the back, he won all that really mattered.

This aswell. How can he slate Rooney for trying to get a player sent off when he did exactly the same thing.

Ha ha. Jason Roberts thinks Johnson is one of our best players, and is hard done by. Henry Winter concurs. These idiots obviously rarely see him play.

Wouldn't say he's a world beater but his game in the air was much better today. Lescott is a bit shaky at times as well. Shakyness spreeds like a flu.
I guess their isn't much options a CB. Onuha of course. He got speed and stamina but rusty one would think.

Tell you what, if utd win that game like that we'd be thinking lucky cunts. It's hard to take when your oppo wins a shitty match they could have easily dropped points in. Advantage city.

Some things:

Where has the other half of Ned gone?

Ageuro was well within his right to mow Dzeko down after that chance

Possibly the greatest handball I have ever seen

Such a shame to see a man as dignified as Roberto waving imaginary cards around

Great to see David Moyes disguise himself as Emperor Palpatine

Got a good feeling about Sunday, I think both results will go our way..

Even though we were far from our best today, it's games like this that win you championships. A couple of seasons ago, maybe even last season, we would have drawn this game

Bit disconcerting to see Bob losing his cool a bit. The PL is more intense than Serie A so we´ll have to cut him some slack

Hope this doesn´t transmit itself to the players though

stop moaning, it's the only way city can point out the injustices, or plain old w*nk refereeing . Before the game i had reservations about that tosser and he proved me right( well in my mind anyway) how could he miss that handball towards the end of the game ?
Also, why was the linesmam giving gail a bollocking at the end ? about taking the throw-in? he's not a referee

Thought some of them looked leggy tonight. The fact that we have nearly a week off is another positive.

Not sure the normal protocol here but I reckon a couple of days off would be a good idea.

He didn't miss the handball. He saw it and decided to book him. On one hand he was last man, on the other he was on the half way line, can it really be considered a clear goalscoring opportunity when its on the half way line?

Apparently Wigan couldn't make it so the harlem globetrotters stepped in.

Shit game, shit ref-ing, shit Lino-ing. Shit savic-ing. Just shit.

Not looking forward to Sunday at all. Maybe without ade we can grind out a draw against them but unless kun goes and find his old black boots and silva ups it 7 pegs I hold no hope of a win.

It's against teams like this that Mancini has to let the team do the easy stuff. 1-0 up against a frankly shocking Wigan team that are going to struggle in the championship next year let alone the prem this year we should of been shooting not passing and failing that at least putting crosses into the box. The one thing the rags do right is put the ball in the danger area against shit teams, which normally ends up in a very flattering scoreline.

Put nasri and milner out on the wings with orders to cross on site, have dzeko firmly planted in the 6 yard box and let aguero and silva roam free in the centre outside the box. Would of been 3 or 4 nil and a nice boost for the team going into what is looking likely to be a massive fucking struggle.

Anyone want to buy a ticket for spurs??????.

Won against a team who I still think of as a bogey side for us after those first few seasons. 3 clear at top of the league and will still be there on Monday regardless of what happens. With a bit of luck, could be 6 clear.

Or, to put it another way, yes we were shite, but stop moaning. It's not like we play every game like that. We're missing loads of important players but still got the win. At this stage of the season that's all that matters.

PS watching Neville, I think he had a Mike Doyle duvet set as a kid. When we win the league, I'm expecting him to strip off to his City kit. Either he's more objective than I could ever be about the rags or he was always a blue. Would explain the pass to the Goat.
