The fact that the media report on Bobbys imaginary card waving just highlights that we have had so many decisions against us of late and three red card decisions not going our way in 3 games in a row.

I dislike it, but it is a necessary evil at the moment.

I don't have a problem with it. It's no worse than normal for managers, or than arses like Fergie slyly digging at Vinnie after the cup derby.

I got to say guys, that this is all pathetic.
I'm Italian and as any Italian in their normal day to day living, hand gestures are used as part of their vocabulary.
Now I'll ask anybody just to study an Italian in conversation and you will notice that this so called card gesture is used within the conversation. It doesn't necessarily mean they're talking about sending someone off or booking them, it's just being an ITALIAN.....

I think Bobby should get rid of the snide cards and start doing this again.

Just Sayin...

I think the original point of this is getting lost a bit. Let me elaborate:

I think the card waving thing can be forgiven, if a player or manager really believes the ref should issue one. It's no different than moaning at the lino for a free-throw or similar, which happens loads of times in every single game. Nobody seems to give a shit about that.

What's not okay, though, is waving around at every opportunity, even if it's absolutely clear that no card should be issued & the player waving his hand knows it shouldn't. Same goes for penalty appeals, raising the hand for corners, throw-ins etc. even if you know you kicked the ball out. Nobody gives a shit about the latter two, because in the grand scheme of things, their consequences are more or less minor compared to red cards & penalties. Essentially though, it is the same kind of offence, which is deliberately trying to sway the referee's decision in your favour, even if you're convinced it's the wrong one.
Cuntish thing to do by all accounts, but good luck getting that shit out of the game, if you can't even get rid of diving.

Hand gestures have nothing to do with being Italian. Father Ted was Irish and his hand waving led people to believe he was Hitler.

i find it less repulsive than tax evasion, bungs, alcoholism, or visiting prostitutes all of which seems to be in the toolbag of some managers at the top flight. Did i mention bungs? or tax evasion?

He needs to stop it end of story. But it really is fairly trivial stuff even though we know certain tossers out there will go for it bigtime.

TBH...I don't really mind him doing it. He's looking after the interests of the team whilst on the pitch. In the two instances this has happened, both players should have gone.

Would you rather he showed emotion or was just stoical? I don't give a fuck, but its not like any decisions against us can get any worse...or can it?

Have you ever seen a clearer sending off. I was in a pub in Leeds watching that last night and there were Spurs, Arsenal and Leeds fans saying less than complimentary stuff about us and to a man they couldn't believe that was not a sending off.
I think I'd sooner he didn't do the card waving but managers getting in ref's/lino's/fourth official's ear is hardly new. Bacon has done it for years

Managers demand bookings on a weekly basis. I don't understand why asking for it with your lips is ok but doing it with is your hand is such a big crime.

Spot on.
