Dead right , i don't want to see Nedum play either. savic looked very good tonight.

We nearly let one in when Nedum and alien head couldn't decide what to do....luckily biblical ally handballed it otherwise them 2 would have been strung up by now.

For the first ten minutes I'd agree. From then on, almost all of the important defending was done by Lescott. In the air & on the ground.

SHITE FOOTBALLER.....and an average defender at best...and that's only when he plays with Kompany as without him he isn't even average..

hahaha just popped in to look at a few threads. Came to this one to see how people viewed Savic and I must have made a wrong turn as it's about Lescott :)

My 2 penneth as a Lescott fan is that overall he had a poor game tonight.A bad start where he missed that cross and then let someone get past him.It wasnt all bad as he cleared a lot of stuff and especially that near post one when I think Clichy was done.

On Savic. I thought he was ok tonight. Cant recall anything glaringly wrong but no dobt the same pairing for Spurs will get a much tougher test.

I would play Zabba on the left against spuds....clichy had a mare today and I would be tempted to drop him....I dread what will happen in the middle without Kompany.

We nearly let one in when Nedum and alien head couldn't decide what to do....luckily biblical ally handballed it otherwise them 2 would have been strung up by now.

You're a cunt! If I was a City player, I reckon I'd be intrigued enough to pop onto 'fans' sites from time-to-time just to hear what they had to say.. if I was Lescott and I did, I'd find a 'fan' referring to my horrific accident injuries as 'alien head'! As I said, you're a cunt and an illiterate one too!

Savic did alright tonight.

Lescott was an embarrassment in the 1st half, absolutely clueless and dreadful. Then very good in the 2nd. Bizarre. Savic, however, is totally useless at football. Boatengesque in all he does, a very poor purchase, as was the great Jerome.

I recon Lescott's shiteness lasted about ten mins, then he defended pretty much everything thrown at him. Had he played 90 mins like he played the 1st 10, I would be panning him on here, as he looked like he was going to cost us a goal. He didn't though, he settled & played well. Savic did barely anything wrong imo & made a couple of really neat interceptions, but whenever the real crucial/dangerous stuff happened it was almost always Lescott (& Barry) who dealt with it. That's the difference.

Don't think lescot really has done anything wrong this season. Definately better then toure, undoubtedly better then savic. Only thing he done wrong really was og against Liverpool but apart from that?

JL is fine with VK without him it is seat of your pants, he lacks nothing in pace, and decent enough left foot, however for me he is short of organising his back 4, and ends up in parts of the pitch he should never be in.Which is strange as he was the only decent defender at Wolves and looked super confident at Everton, with a lot more defending to do, in a game like Sunday a slip will be punished. Savic knows his role and sticks to it like Zabba, nothing fancy.

Voice of reason. Those early minutes were a worry though.I was very pleased for Savic after the scouse where he looked all wrong but there was a confidence about him last night. Not especially commanding but efficient

Lescott ends up in parts of the pitch he shouldn't be in, mainly when nobody else is there & they should be. He doesn't do it because he prefers to. That's why he ends up doing most of the defending in games like that whilst others 'stick to their roles'. Somebody has to do it. He's not arsed about looking smooth; just getting the job done. Ratface was making the very same point about Vinny pre game. In spite of being an open attacking side, we have the best defensive record in the Prem. Theose two do more than just watch the game from a cosy position & they have a lot of crucial defending to do because of the way we play.
