Is he injured? I thought he was just rested for today...

Micah has a hamstring injury and didnt train this week ( I didnt mention that but as City didnt either I guessed they didnt want it mentioning) BUT I was told he is almost certain to be ok for the Spurs game.

My take on that is a great 3 points. Wigan decided to play the defensive game as others have made us struggle and as a result we totally dominated the 1st half, got one up but didnt create that much clear cut. 2nd half Wigan changed tactics and had a go and as a result we created more but just didnt get the 2nd and more goals. Part of that I would put down to a crap pitch but we did miss chances. How many chances did Wigan have? I can only remember 1 which came from Milner messing up and Joe saving brilliantly with his feet.

Did Joe really get man of the match? Maybe I did watch a different game.I thought it was a real battling performance from the whole team and best performers were Barry and Edin with a big shout also for Aguero. He didnt score but what a team player that man is.

I agree entirely Doug! Not vintage but we won.. you'd not know that from this thread!

If it were United or the invincible Arsenal, we'd be lauding their ability to grind out 1-nil's when the going is tough, on a cold night, with our best players out/suspended/under-performing! Not great no but it was 3 points and a big few weeks ahead!

jesus h christ...everyone and their mother is happy with 3 pts, but if you think the manner in which it was earned spelled anything but a foreshadowing of more pain to come after the gloomy week we just had then yr just burying yr head in the sand.

Hope i'm wrong of course, but we've been unimpressive ever since Yaya left. If anyone ever wondered what he does, well, i think we have our goddam answer.

Panic stations anyone? i'll be here all week...hello? is this thing on? hello?

cheers

It is on but the engineers are coming round to disconnect :)

A win earned by hard work and a great team ethic is good in my book. Not sure what our record at Wigan is but I doubt we have won many if any so I will take a 1 nil like that every single time. And to be fair we were never really under and strong pressure with Joe making one save that I can think of and that coming after a Milner mistake.

Hard grafted Win. 3 points gained, job done.

Dzeko better, Barry excellent, Lescott solid, Savic slightly improved, Aguero still wasteful. On to sunday.

Didn't get to see the game last night but from what I heard on 5Live we seemed to take our foot off the gas once we took the lead. I'm wondering if Mancini is trying to keep us under the radar a little at this moment and resting players. He may also have not wanted to put too much on the other RM.

All-in-all, delighted with the 3 point lead plus goal difference and the bonus was Spurs drawing. I feel quietly confident about Sunday as Spurs will play their natural game without the addition of Ade, who has been a major force for them upfront this season.

Scott (Superman) Parker will have to earn his wages.

When we 1st played Spurs, Aguero & Dzeko were talking to each other all the time & trying to work their runs together; pointing who goes where, who stops who runs on etc. Now they barely make eye contact, hardly ever pass to each other & seem to have no idea of each other's position on the pitch, yet when they do briefly play together, they look excellent & imo, the team looks more dangerous up front when they are both together in it. They are not even playing to 10% of their capabilities as a partnership though. Bob should sort it out.

This about sums it up for me. Someone come on here and tell me any team that has won the prem without digging out results through a season like we did last night. Don’t be fooled by the media that will have you think the likes of United, Chelsea and Arsenal coasted to titles playing Brazil like football for 38 games.

Yes there has been a blip over the last few weeks but were still top, have scored the most goals, have one of the best defences and have two of our most influential players to come back into the fold. If we can get through the next couple of weeks grinding out results I will be confident that we can go on and win the league.

We need to get behind the boys more than ever instead of jumping on the bandwagon and going into mass hysteria like the press.

This.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
