I couldn't give a monkeys about Roberto's card waving. I'm sick of us being a soft touch and not getting the balance of decisions that ought to be due.

I do not want us to be akin to the scum or Mourinho's Chelsea in surrounding and intimidating referees but I do not want us to just roll over and accept the shit that has been doled out to us this season.

Maybe the fact that Mancini is quite visibly questioning decisions and getting instances where we are wronged in the papers might make referees think twice about fucking us in the ass. Referees know they'll be all over the papers with pundits and public questioning their competence.....they won't want that.

Carry on Bobby, impeccable is in the past. We are El City

Completely agree with this Ant. As much as Mancini is getting some stick for his card-waving gestures, elements of the media and a lot of public opinion have agreed that:
- Kompany should not have been sent
- Johnson should have been sent off
- Aguero was denied a goalscoring opportunity

Therefore, these refereeing mistakes have been highlighted and Chris Foy, in particular, is currently viewed as a bit of a joke.

As much as card-waving might not be the done thing in England, he has been right on each occasion, and that cannot be argued with.

FWIW, I think Mancini is playing a fookin managerial blinder with this whole card waving row.....

He saw against Liverpool (Balo and Barry sending offs), and against the Rags (Komps Sending Off) that players can have an influence over the referees decison making, and in turn affect what colour card is shown!

Obviously players doing this is wrong, and Mancini knows this, but he also knows its going unpunished. So, by doing the card waving thing, IMO, is a bit of a protest, "Well they do it, so why can't I". I also think he will do this unitl he recieves a touchline ban, and once that has happened there will have been a precedent set, by the FA, that forbids anyone waving imaginary cards. Once Mancini gets an FA sanction and ban/fine etc, you would have though and would hope that the FA then start applying the same sanctions to the players on the field who wave cards, or attempt to influence the referee in any other manner.

I don't agree with the action of waving cards around, but Mancini is a very calculated man and knows exactly what he was doing. He apologised for doing it the first time, and acknowledged it was the wrong way to behave, but the fact that he did it again, suggests he's doing it deliberately.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out anywho!

Edit* The other reason why it's a managerial masterstroke, is because in the week leading up to one of the biggest games of our season, all the focus is on him and his antics, instead of hyping up the Billionaires Vs Mostexcitingteamintheleagueandthisyearsconfirmedchampions match. All the spotlight has been taken away from the players, and Mancini is comfortable with taking it all on himself instead!

Pepsi,

Completely agree mate. Certainly on the paret where you state that Mancini is doing this deliberately. Mancini had been around football, media and its politics for many years. You have only to read the anecdotal evidence from Italy to understand that.

Constant media attacks on his players can be dangerous and as we reach the business end of the season, hehas to divert any negative attention from his squad....and if I'm right, like Pepsi Dave, I think he's playing a blinder.

Hand the media an issue and let them play with it. Mancini is out of order, Mancini is cracking up. We even had Platt givin the thing a helping hand when he suggested that the media would be watching Mancini's every move...comment or an invitation?

Because the card waving has become an issue, we are getting a bit less of; City a team in crisis, Missing Kompany, Missing Yaya, The rags always stronger in the 2nd half of the season. Spurs are the team in form....By diverting the negative stuff at himself, he is playing the game.

BTW...If what he is waving is imaginary, how do the media know it is a card at all? Any ideas?

The important thing is that they are all talking about Bob...He can take this shit....bin there done before.

What they are not doing is pressurising the players...Our loss of form, Dzeko not scoring, How weakened by the loss of Yaya and Vinnie and how the rags and Spurs, despite their recent losses and dropped points are the obvious favourites to hbeat us to the title.

Well done and Thank you Bob.
