Looks like the high winds have blown rubbish all over the pitch at the Reebok. But enough about Liverpool... #BBCFootball

Not making too much of this result.

Was just thinking the same thing They know CL is out , Their league form Is patchy at best . So Carling Cup Is the best route to Europe for them ,I expect 6 across the back for them this week .

Just caught the end of the Bolton game. Please tell me that Kunting King Kenny can't blame the ref for this loss ....... against Bolton!

Bolton always seem to get an excessive amount of rubbish on the pitch on windy days and its always carrier bags.

I thought the Red Scouse were happy to avoid the Europa League "nuisance" because it would assist them in the title race. Plus as we all know a 2nd-tier competition is beneath them, what with all that 'istree.

No reason King Kenny's ingenious "He Kept Us Out of Europe" strategy shouldn't work again next season, so crash out of both cups and finish 7th and it's job done for another year.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

Did Bellamy end up playing the full game for the racists? Will be interesting if he manages another game, he's easily their most dangerous player at the minute.

Why would they need him when we all know they'll play 9 at the back ready to launch it up to Carroll?

That's probably the most likely scenario. Bellamy on the bench & pack the midfield. Bob handed them the game in the 1st leg by playing AJ out wide & no creative midfield. Once Nasri came on Liverpool were finished. Doubt Bob will make the same mistake again. I expect us to have a lot of the ball & the ref to try & help Liverpool by letting them kick lumps out of us & giving them every free kick they ask for.

You saying the ref's are bent?

Anyway, haven't the Rags got a game this weekend? Not heard anything about it.

Scousers & Spurs were two of my biggest hates in football even when we were in the 3rd division. I have also found Harry quite disgusting at every club he's managed. To see all three looking at City as their cup final is quite gratifying when you consider what we were facing when fat Bob stuck that goal in at Wembley. As you say, Arsenal v rags is completely overshadowed by our game. Once again who could ever have even in their wildest dreams, belive a rags v Arse game would be playing second fiddle to a City game, when we were stood there at the Gillingham game, looking at another season in the shit & Utd had scrawped the stuffiest Champion's Lg win in history just a few days before?

Absolutely Incredible. Of course it doesn't count, as we have no istree, but still...

Oh, it'll count pal. If we manage to take the spoils it will be bigger than anything we've ever seen. Every Rag will disappear overnight and there will be a sea of blue throughout Manchester, and although they'll think we're goading them, cos that's their trait, we'll actually be celebrating, doing something that is totally alien to us and we'll be loving it.

It may not count to some but it'll count to us, and that's what matters.

We need to really got for it for the first 10 minutes. If we can get a goal the advantage swings our way as anymore goals and we can settle for the draw. Basically we need to score two on the night, at least one in 90. If we get two in 90 doesn't matter if they score first we're still going through. But I think if we get one they'll start to panic. They know we're better than them and we were awful last week. A fit silva and Mario will make a real difference.

Anyway, 3 points v spurs first
