BARRY and Savic

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

BARRY and Savic

Postby The Original Special One » Sun Jan 22, 2012 4:20 pm

Savic rightly being called to account for being at fault for Defoe's goal,....and subsequent nervousness; and Mancini clearly needs to think long and hard about playing him on Wednesday.
(as with Boyata, previously)

But in his case it was a matter of mistiming his jump

In Gareth Barry's case, it was a shameful one of self-preservation; from an experienced defender
The greater crime, in my book!

So lets hope the players, and manager, look at all aspects of the game,....and that people will hold up their hands.
And not just focus on the safe target

Except not prevent their equalising goal when, with a bit of bottle, he could have!

FFS, it was a fantastic strike by Cheetah, you cannot stop every goal. Do we really have to have a witch hunt of our own players even when we win?

Its a shame about the silly mistakes from savic because he was playing well, but you can't get by usually against the better teams giving the odd goals away.as for Barry its a joke to criticize him considering the season he is having .

Barry & Milner > Superduperscotty, salt of the earth Parker.

The good thing about Savic is that we've got through another game with him playing & still won. I thought he'd cost us the title but we may have just about got away with it. He's still got a chance to get us out of the League Cup before he goes back to the bench though.

Mario did his best to blow our title chances too but ended up winning us 2 points. Itsafunnyolgame.

Agree with all this completely. I wasn't so unhappy with going out of the FA cup early this year, I was just gutted we ended up losing Kompany at such an important time.

Hopefully Liverpool won't setup too attacking and will look to defend their 1-0, which might allow Savic to get by without screwing everything up for us. I'm no football expert but he seems to have decent enough potential at least, just right now he makes far too many serious errors.

Oh and I thought Barry was awesome for us today.

He'll be playing a lot more games once Lescott gets his ban. Looked very comfy first half then made a bad mistake with another high ball and just fell apart

He looks great when he's running about making little interceptions. It's just when he's asked to do something a bit more difficult that he falls apart, which is several times per game.
